Students, teachers, parents and school employees rallied and marched Thursday at college campuses, public parks and government buildings in many U.S. cities in what was called the March 4 Day of Action to Defend Public Education.

How about seeing that instate tuition at public universities isn’t abused by illegal immigrants?
Just something college “students” always do when they’re not partying or watching “Girls Gone Wild” DVDs.
Teachers are walking because they want more money, student are walking because the want school to be cheaper..
You cannot make up stuff like that..LOL
“Angry college students”.
This is the ‘new’ SDS (Students for a Democratic Society). Bill Ayers and many people close to Obama have their roots in the original SDS. The Weather Underground is a splinter of SDS. They are a revolutionary communist organization.
What’s this “many” US cities stuff?
and some how they are the same side. heh.
From Trevor Loudons newzeal.blogspot.com:
In early 2006, a group of former SDS members and sympathisers, led by DSA activist Paul Buhle joined with some a new generation of college students to re-found Students For a Democratic Society. The movement now has over 130 chapters across the USA.
More importantly Buhle and co also founded an SDS support group for older activists-Movement for a Democratic Society (MDS). SDS is the muscle behind the new protest movement and was very prominent in the recent violence at the Republican National Convention at St Paul Minnesota. MDS is the brains behind the SDS brawn

>>A**holes closed 880 in Oakland
No respect for Gaia, think of the increase in carbon emissions......
astroturf. I say these yahoos protesting in my town yesterday and then afterwards made a point to walk the streets in groups with their signs. Although there may have been some bamboozelled college and high school students (that is the age some of them looked) and some parents, it looked like and the attitude of many was commie trashtastic and thuggery. This was signature liberal astroturf.
In other news, “Dog Bites Man.”
Oh, but the govmint will take care of us all/sarc. Jobs? Who needs jobs? The govmint will fix all/sarc again.
It’s times like these when you should be allowed to throw a bunch of joints into the path of these marchers and the whole crowd will just kind of melt away into the fog.
That’s the way downtown Oakland was and the closing of freeway will backfire on them..
Didn’t Zero promise people they would get two-year chits for college? and what was that about, take out student loans and if you refuse to pay for 20 years they are forgiven?
guess that didn’t fly
so here we have students expecting a free ride, which their parents can’t afford, raging against the machine to force their parents to pay more in taxes to afford what they can’t afford.
Students have been stupified
Really? Where? Didn’t hear a peep or see anything about it..
Yeah, funny me. I thought our republic had it’s roots in democracy already. But then again, what do I know.
I demand the right to vote in Mexico’s elections then since they permit their citizens to vote at home and in the US (and encourage it).
not to mention, I’m sure she is going to make a really great lawyer when she keeps saying “you know” at the end of every sentence
Kind of gives new meaning to a college campus going “Greek”.
