I thought Mark’s speech was well-written and delivered. But my favorite part was to hear him answer the questions from the audience. You really see his personality & fire then!
Thanks again, 50cal, for posting the link! I noted on the listener tally, the # got up to 6,424!! I wonder all together, counting all the various sources of broadcast, how many people watched?
And the funny thing was, you might expect the viewer # to drop after Mark’s speech itself ended, but it did for just a moment, and after the audience members started asking their questions, the # of viewers rose eventually to it’s highest #, right up until the end when Mark was given that jacket, cap & the special diaries of President Reagan & First Lady Nancy Reagan. When Mark left the stage, the #’s plummeted!
Impressive that Mark gets so many viewers/listeners, when you consider it’s a Friday night! He’s such an extraordinary man for this day and age.
I was hoping to find a replay, but can’t. Nothing on FR, MarkLevinShow.com, or youtube. The server definitely couldn’t handle the volume tonight.
I was fortunate to attend the Levin event at Reagan Library Friday night — packed house, biggest crowd there since Reagan’s memorial service (surpassing the Condi Rice speech which was a big deal some time ago). I was there from 1:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and the time flew by.
Everything was well organized, in my opinion. People waited hours to have books signed and all day we could tour the grounds and library at no extra cost — the buffet dinner was terrific, I thought, and Mark was there for the whole afternoon/evening — he shopped in the Air Force One gift store and mingled with guests. I saw him open his wallet and pay by credit card for all his purchases. No freebies for him!
Great guy — apparently he brought the whole family along as he made reference to his kids being in the audience.
Wonderful speech; he did not disappoint. Wish you all could’ve been there, too.
