Hollywood Courage: Tom Hanks Fawns Over Obama, Slams Fox News on…MSNBC
Big Hollywood ^ | 3/6/10 | John Nolte

Posted on 03/06/2010 1:30:20 PM PST by jimbo123

Watch the video (full segment is here). Some of it’s just strange. Hanks hand-wrings over parents not being able to get their kids to the hospital if GM is no longer in business. At least that’s what I think he says, because when you live in a bubble where no one ever says ‘Huh?,” much less challenges you, those are the kinds of things you start to say and believe. Scary.

And when Hanks speaks of a propaganda network doing the President’s bidding, does he not see the irony of his being on MSNBC? The day before he was on Good Morning America. Really, Tom, no irony at all as you do the Obama Propaganda Network Tour?

I agree. Why should the opinions of “clowns, jugglers and minstrels” be heard with any seriousness? And I even say that as one of the “minstrels” of sorts myself. Of course, I have to write my own lines, not get them from a director.

Hanks has always been an obnoxious piece of crap - and a pretty bad actor as well.

“our gov’t has to help us from time to time...” this is ina nutshell the liberal mind at work. a man making millions thinks the gov’t hs the solution and not the problem. . thse people baffle me and how they belittle the common man who is out of work is just too much to bear. they just dont realize they do it.

Clint Eastwood is an actor. I respect Eastwood’s views because his views are grounded in study. I may not agree with his views but I respect them.

John Cleese is an actor. I respect Cleese’s views. Etc..

The difference between Cleese/Eastwood’s reasonable expression of thought and Hank’s rant is REASON and THOUGHT. I may not agree with the former I tend to listen to their thinking because they are well read. I tend to ignore that latter because it’s another asinine remark about Fox News and Obama. Jeez get some fresh lines Tom.

But I could be wrong.

Exactly. he wasn’t good in Forest Gump for no reason, and the woman who played his mother is another liberal POS.

No matter how good the movie he is in, I am not going to watch them, buy them or have anything else to do with products involving him.

As the saying goes. “Shut up and sing.” Dis-respect more than half of your potential audience, Smooth move there ex-lax.

What is he needing now....some attention? How come he makes patriotic movies? For the money of course. Nothing like biting the hand that feeds him. Time to toss all my hanks movies into the trash where they belong. Dont care to see his hypocracy anymore. If I want to see movies like he has made...I can tune into the Military or History channel with REAL PEOPLE.

I am so tired of these actors trying to ‘make a difference.’ They just diminish themselves. He is another one I will now refuse to watch. Sorry Tom. You should have have stayed with acting. You are irrelevant in any other context. Get used to it.

“Some people say “oh but he and spielberg made movies about WW2.” No they got richer off exploiting WW2.”

I don’t know about you but I didn’t think that they were that good. Just made the Wierds from Hollywood feel good.
