KARACHI: Pakistani security forces along with help of US intelligence arrested Abu Yahya Mujahdeen Al- Adam, who is a close associate of Osama Bin Laden. Abu Yahya was arrested on Sunday from an area surrounding the super highway, on the outskirts of Karachi.

Sources confirmed that the arrested militant commander has been shifted to Islamabad for further investigation.

Pennsylvania-born Abu Yahya is a US citizen and assumed to be a commander of foreign militants fighting in Afghanistan against the US. His name is included in the top ten wanted on the CIA list.

Another big get in Pakistan. Something tells me things are going so badly for Obama with his poll numbers that we could soon Adam Gadhan or Ayman Al Zawhri caught soon. The back story is Obama is pouring billions into Pakistan's corrupt leadership (Pres Zardari's nickname is Mr. 10%) in return for info on the bad guys. Bush would never have been able to get away with this type of bribery, or the drone war escallation in Pakistan, the MSM would have crucified him.

I think if we have to bribe the Pakis to get at the bad guys, that is just a cost of doing business. All in all, a fair trade to take these jihadis off the street. I wonder if we will be bring this guy back to the US or will we let the Pakis keep him for a bit in order to use their interogation methods to extract some useful info from him?

Here is a little info on the law passed and signed by Obama. Ask yourself what we have bought in the last two years with the couple billion we have sent them?
“Funds would be used for projects that promote democratic governance and private sector growth, and for education, construction of physical infrastructures, and other programs intended to benefit the people of Pakistan”.
The easiest way to steal cash is by skimming money used for such nebulous things. ACORN has perfected the art. Saddam and the UN oil for food program is another good example.

I do not see a huge number of new schools being built with american cash, and if they are being built, you can bet the Paki political class is skimming huge amounts into their swiss bank accoutns.

In year 2006 midterm elections the political fortunes of President Bush and the Republican party declined. The Democratic Party which historically has been less sympathetic to Pakistan sought to change the terms and nature of American aid to Pakistan. Vice President Joe Biden, then Chairman of Senate Foreign Relations Committee, in cooperation with Republican Senator Richard Lugar introduced a bipartisan bill called ‘Enhanced Partnership with Pakistan Act of 2008.’ After the 2008 elections, when Biden left the Senate, the mantle was picked up by the incoming new Chairman, Senator John Kerry, another stalwart of the Democratic party. The bill, numbered S. 3263 offers Pakistan one and half billion dollars annually for the next five years in economic aid. Only this time with strong strings attached.

The bill, in bureaucratic jargon referred as ‘non-security assistance to Pakistan’, contains two very important clauses. One that:

“Funds would be used for projects that promote democratic governance and private sector growth, and for education, construction of physical infrastructures, and other programs intended to benefit the people of Pakistan”.

In other words, the funds could only be used for the ‘projects’ that government of the United States of America considers will directly benefit civil life of the common man and in the process hopefully will lure him or her away from the current feelings of anti-Americanism and religious extremism. It is another component of American ‘war on terror’ designed to win the hearts and minds of Pakistani masses. As an extra measure the American administration will be required to prepare annual reports that such ‘projects’ are being implemented as intended. The total amount of 7.5 billion dollars even though appropriated in equal annual installments over the five year period between 2009 and 2013 will be outlaid on a graduated scale stretched over ten years ending in year 2018.

From wiki;
In 1963, Joey Dee recorded an album entitled Dance, Dance, Dance, with The Ronettes as his backup group. In spring of that year, Roulette released the track “Hot Pastrami with Mashed Potatoes,” from the previously issued live album, as a two-part single; the record made the U.S. Top Forty. The label later released “Ya Ya” and “Fannie Mae” from the same album.

I suppose that the "O" and his Chcago buddies have no problem with corrupt Pakistani corrupt politicians skimming off the top? The Chicago method of choice for governance?

There must be thousands of them.

I wonder how much of those billions$ end up as intended to win "hearts and minds (a fool's errand if there ever was one) of ordinary Pakistanis?

One reality in the world that most Americans don't recognize, and may never be able to grasp, is the level of corruption of the third world generally, and muslim countries specifically...

I think this IS Adam Gadhan!

I checked the FBI’s list of terrorists and Adam Gadhan has several aliases that list him as “Abu.” Also, one alias in particular lists him as “Yihya Majadin Adams.” The name listed in the press release for this article is spelled “Yahya Mujahdeen Al-Adam.”

Yup, it has got to be Adam Gadhan...

I noticed two separate al-Qaeda experts on C-SPAN over the past couple of months saying that this guy was the new brains behind al-Qaeda. They portrayed him as being much smarter than bin Laden. In fact they said he is so brilliant that he had even analyzed how we can defeat al-Qaeda. Fortunately he was so proud of his analysis that he had to tell everyone:

On October 11, 2006 Gadahn was indicted based on the testimony of the FBI case agent E.J. Hilbert II, in the Southern Division of the United States District Court for the Central District of California by a federal grand jury for the capital crime of treason for aiding an enemy of the United States.

Now...let the Pakis, as we observe, drain every bit of G2 available out of this traitor, and then bring him back here and have a very public execution of his miserable hide.

Well .. at the rate Obama is bribing congress people to vote for his garbage legislation .. this bribing of Pakistan would not suprise me.

And .. it makes me wonder if that’s what the “stimulus” money was for .. a slush box for Obama to use to bribe people .. foreign governments ....... because I always wondered why Pakistan suddenly began to help us clean out the AQ militants.

This is interesting info .. and if it’s true .. I hope it can be exposed.

Getting captured in Pakistan will not be very good news for Gadahn. Paki’s don’t have all the pc-crap to put up with when they ‘talk’ to detainees.

Gadahn may wish he were home with mommie after the Paki’s finish ‘talking’ to him.

I think I’ll tune into the MSM to find out which one of these options is correct!

What I find hard to believe is that this asshat would be considered a Al-Qaeda “leader”.

I just have a difficult time believing that Bin Laden and associates would put whole lot of trust in a young American born moron.

It is great news that he was arrested but for certain he is not Al Qaeda brain and he is not closely associated with Al Qaeda top hierarchy. He was just used as a propaganda tool by Al Qaeda because he is an American.

I totally agree. He was just a propaganda tool used by Al Qaeda terrorists but no way he is an Al Qaeda leader or has any decision power in what Al Qaeda plans or does. However it is great news that he was arrested, we have now one less terrorist.
