Massa Will Resign Monday as Planned
Yahoo ^ | 3/8/10 | Tory Newmyer

Posted on 03/08/2010 11:18:20 AM PST by Old Teufel Hunden

Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) will follow through with his resignation, scheduled to take effect at 5 p.m. Monday, his chief of staff confirmed. Massa suggested to a New York radio station on Sunday that he could rescind his resignation after asserting that an ethics investigation into allegations that he sexually harassed an aide may have been orchestrated by Democratic leaders to get him out of office before the health care vote. "The comments on the radio came from constituents calling in, saying, 'You should rescind.' And that's how that fire got fed. He addressed them by thanking them for the comments, but the resignation is still effective," Massa Chief of Staff Joseph Racalto said in an interview outside the New York Democrat's office in the Longworth House Office Building. Massa, a freshman, is not expected to return to Washington, Racalto said, and staff were busy Monday boxing up his books and other belongings. Racalto said he is "desperately" trying to find new jobs for about 20 staff members, but for the time being, they will remain in the office handling district casework.

Dems are pros. They know how to do it. I’m sure what they threaten with is worse than turning around and accusing them of blackmail.

Why does it matter? He’s already said enough to expose the Rats for what they are. Every House member who votes for this now will have to admit it’s not for the dumb reasons they put out in their letters.

There has to be one or two who don’t want their vote tagged to a naked Chicago thug.

On another level, crime is defined by what is enforced.

When there's nobody who will investigate, arrest, prosecute, etc., then effectively there is no crime.

Massa is the epitome of why we shouldn’t repeal DADT. Allowing homosexuality in the military is only going to increase the degenerate activities that Massa admits engaging in. This freak symbolizes everything wrong with homosexuals in the military.

“Blackmail is a crime. Just ask the guy who attempted to sell David Letterman a script about his affairs.”

Beyond a certain amount of power, a crime is what the dictator says it is. If the FBI, judiciary, and the DOJ are corrupt, the avenues for justice are severely limited.

You're right, no question. Remember when Tommy DeVito had to pick up a shovel at his mother's house (to take care of "the problem")? Picked up a butcher knife, too, IIRC.

This is just the beginning. The knives are coming out, and Rahm Emanuel is the chief knife sharpener.

Rahm and Barry have undertaken an old fashioned soviet-style purge. Seems clear that Barry/Rahm dig up dirt on opponents to usher in more control for themselves. If there’s no dirt to find he and Rahm will manufacture it. The policy even extends to fellow Dems as the most recent examples are David Patterson and now Massa. I don’t know anything about Massa’s stand on any issues, but if the voters in his district voted him in then Barry/Rahm shouldn’t be lawfully permitted to replace him with their hand-picked crony. Barry/Rahm are taking a totalitarian road here. Dems in congress should speak out and let the White House now that Rahm’s nude verbal assualts on their colleagues are not acceptable and should demand Rahm’s immediate resignation.

An interesting side note. When I got my first security clearance, I was asked if I was gay. Then it was explained to me that gay people would be easy to blackmail, and were not to be trusted with the country’s secrets. I was in the Army. The secrets I would hold dealt with handling radio codes, handling night vision equipment, etc...low level stuff, but important stuff.

Well, here we stand on the brink of abolishing don’t ask/don’t tell...and a gay congressman has just been blackmailed. Whatdoyouknow...it is easy to blackmail a gay man.

"I'm thinking you're right. Rahm probably sent him a message:"

I was just listening to Rush playing Massa saying how Rahm Emanuel came down to the House gym showers and he Rahm was buck naked (not even wearing a towel) and started poking his finger into Massa's chest screaming at him about voting No! on the Health Care Bill. Massa says can you believe it the showers don't even have curtains on them anymore and I wonder why?

My husband answered Massa's question. He said' "Think Barney Frank" LOL!

They should record each and every phone call, and have hidden mics on them to record non-phone communications. I know, it sounds 1984 paranoid, but with this bunch, if you learn nothing else, it's that you have to protect yourself. If Massa had taped his call with Emanuel, he could have gone public with it just to show the world what a slimemold Obama has working for him as chief legbreaker.

Reminder re unfolding from Roll Call/hat tip to American Thinker where doubts are shared: /http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/

[[Roll Call reports this morning that on the local radio show he hosts in his district, Massa said he had not been informed of the sexual harassment allegations before they became public. He claimed that Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., spoke falsely when he said he had brought the matter to him previously, Massa said. "Steny Hoyer has never said a single word to me, at all, ever, not once," Massa said. "Not a word. This is a lie. It's a blatant, false statement." [...]

Massa, who voted against health care reform in November, accused Democratic leaders of driving him out of office in the cause of passing health care reform. "With the departure of Congressman Neil Abercrombie (D), who is running for the governorship of Hawaii, and with the tragic and very sad passing of my personal friend Jack Murtha (D-Pa.), mine is now the deciding vote on the health care bill and this administration and this House leadership have said, quote-unquote, they will stop at nothing to pass this health care bill. And now they've gotten rid of me and it will pass. You connect the dots." ]]

I’m not sure about this, it could be a hatchet job on Massa. Massa says that Emanuel actually charged into the shower room naked and started screaming at him.

A thought just actually occurred in my mind while I was reading your post. The scene from Borat when Borat and his buddy are running around and wrestling in the hotel both of them totally naked. I liked the movie, but my wife and I both closed our eyes while this scene was going on. It was disgusting!!!
