Obama's Health Care Plan: What Do You Think? [Freep this poll.......]

Obama's Health Care Plan: What Do You Think? Posted by Stephanie Condon

After debating health care reform for more than a year, President Obama says it's time for Democrats to deliver.

Hotsheet has followed every step of the process, from early speculation about the process of reconciliation to the raucous protests from the plan's opponents.

Democrats are expected to use reconciliation within weeks, allowing them to bypass a Republican filibuster and pass a final bill with a simple majority of 51 votes in the Senate. Republicans, meanwhile, insist they cannot support the measure and that the American public does not want it to pass. Recent polling from CBS News shows people are growing impatient with the debate, even as strong support still exists for some elements of the Democrats' bills.

Now it's time to hear from our loyal Hotsheet readers. What do you think of the way Washington has handled the debate? What do you think of the policy options on the table? Let us know your opinions in our user poll here and in the comments section below:

“Have President Obama and congressional Democrats explained their ideas well to the American people”

I just voted and on this question I voted yes. IMHO they have explained it well enough but I’m not buying their story.

Note that CBS says (in small print at the bottom) that this isn’t one of their REAL polls.

Probably because it ain’t goin’ their way!

Suggestion: on the questions whether or not Congress and Obama has explained the bill well enough, we should vote yes so that they can’t claim that the people are misinformed. We know that what they want to do and WE DO LIKE IT.

The Feds are even unable to protect our border and deport illegal aliens. Thus, they certainly will not be able to deal properly with something as complex as health care.

The bill is reported to be well over 2000 pages, there is no way they COULD explain what is in that, they don’t even know themselves.

As far as explaining their IDEAS, these people have no ideas! They parrot whatever Marxist crap they think might line their own pockets and give them power over honest people.

Exactly. The current congress cannot be trusted to monkey with health care, even if it's broken. Which it is, but nowhere near to the extent it would be after an exercise in friendly bipartisanship.
