By the way, this isn’t about health care. It’s about getting everyone insurance. You think it’s tough getting in to see a doctor today, wait until the goverment takes over.

I have insurance but my drug bill is 2 to 3 hundred per month in co-pays. So, since I’m a veteran, I thought I’d go out to the VA and get the prescriptions filled there. First of all, they don’t have the one drug I need most. Second, I have to have a VA doctor write the prescription. They won’t accept them from my cardiologist. So I have to make an appointment with a VA doctor. I was told that will take 2 or 3 months. Yeah, government run healthcare!

Obama to push health care in St. Louis
St. Louis Business Journal

President Barack Obama plans to continue his push for healthcare reform in a speech Wednesday at St. Charles High School.

The address is scheduled for 3:50 p.m. and is invitation-only, according to the White House.

Obama will then travel to the Renaissance Grand hotel in downtown St. Louis for a 6 p.m. fundraiser for U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo.

Neal Boyd, the 2008 winner of “America’s Got Talent” and a Missouri native, will perform at McCaskill’s event.

This will be Obama’s third trip to St. Louis as president.

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.

Let’s see. Social Security going broke because the Dems moved the funds for the SS Trust into the general fund so they could “borrow” money out of it... and never repay it. Medicade going broke and they want to put even more people on it. Post Office going broke. Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, cash for clunkers, and the stimulus package. After all these successes how can you possibly doubt they will be able to efficiently run healthcare?
