The Obama team’s disregard for big pictures — Bush in front of the Statue of Liberty on the first anniversary of 9/11, Clinton visiting a refugee camp in Macedonia during the Balkan war, Reagan looking over the wall into the demilitarized zone between South and North Korea — is part of the current administration’s scorn for things as they have traditionally been done, which they typically lump into the category of “politics as usual.”
“We don’t want to participate in the artifice of politics that have turned so many people off,” Dan Pfeiffer, White House director of communications, told The Daily Caller. “Great images are important but they should be believable to people who did not study at the knee of [Reagan image-maker] Michael Deaver.”
There is also a strong preference in the Obama White House for words rather than images as a persuasive tool.

I think the picture that best exemplifies this administration is the “Airforce One Flyover” that panicked all of New York!
Surprise visit.. Scared everyone to death.. had plane dominate scene.. and for what..? these are the kind of images ChumpInCharge likes.
I think the point is Zero despises images of American greatness, American power, American freedom that have been so compelling to so many people. Rather, as you say, he wants images of HIM which of course leaves people thinking WTF is he that America and all she is doesn’t put to shame. But this point is lost on little boy Gibby.
Oh how could we forget those greek columns........the entire administration is nothing if not delusional.

His qualifications are that lying doesn’t phase him and he has all the pat talking points down to a tee and when he doesn’t know something, be a petulant little prick comes easy.
They come from a European socialist mindset where everyone is so used to giant nationalized government they don’t understand how different we are and how different our Constitution is.
