LOL - OK, there’ll just be more for me ;-)
Failed melon salesman prints money in new career.
Fuzzy joked when Tiger won it would be ‘collard greens’ and (IIRC) ‘fried chicken’.
Harmless ribbing if there was no racial animosity intended.
A disgusting display of prejudice if he really held Tiger's race against him.
That is why such statements are dangerous, and why we always see the MSM jump on those by R's and ignore those by D's; the assumption of racism is all that it takes to turn an innocuous comment into prejudice. And the MSM is much more likely to assume that the comment of an R is coming from racial prejudice.
Ditto. When I was a kid living in a virtually all-white (like me) part of the country, it would have been difficult to find someone who didn't like watermelon and fried chicken. I'm sure they were there, but I didn't know them. So I was always perplexed by statements that eating the melon and the chicken were somehow things only Black people did.
I know that story also. I just love the language cops - don’t you!
You forgot articulate
