This starts off as an intellectual discourse on the use of apostates in political arguments, but descends to a pity party on Glenn Beck’s part when he goes after Michelle Malkin for criticizing his decision to give an hour to Eric Massa. It starts downhill at the moment that Beck says, “I don’t understand you people,” which takes the Boss Emeritus aback. (snip) One can believe that the Obama administration is playing hardball with or without Massa’s testimony on this point, but relying on Massa undermines the argument if it turns out that Massa may be exaggerating or prevaricating for his own purposes — and as Michelle has pointed out, there’s certainly some evidence to bolster that interpretation. None of us need to rely on Massa’s credibility for our arguments. We can note his statements and consider the context and Massa’s motivations, which is all Michelle asks of Beck in reconsidering his choice to give Massa a big megaphone tonight. It’s not bad advice, and perhaps Beck should give it more consideration, coming from a friend.

I’ve never listened to Beck more than five minutes. He’s not my cup of tea.
The only person I have always enjoyed listening to is Rush Limbaugh. That is someone who stays consistently on message without ranting around looking like a fool.
How does he do the same thing?
I agree that Glenn Beck may be walking a fine line with having Massa on, but I guess we’ll see what happens on the hour if he shows up. Shouldn’t take much to determine his credibility or not - and I think Beck can determine that.

I’ve listened to him since 2003. That may come to an end now.
Beck makes outragous accusations against Conservatives. Liking conservs to Fascist. He is the typical mental midget that reads a few books and suddenly considers himself an authority on everything. WRONGO Bub.
After the conversation Beck decided he needed to apologize to Michelle. That is when he wallowed in self pity. I used to think Beck was a clown. Now I realize he is actually a pompous jerk.
A cat fight between those whose feel free to mock those like us who insist Natural Law terms in the Constitution such as ‘natural born citizen’ mean something.
I like Beck, but catch myself liking Levin more. Levin thinks Beck is a opportunist dimbulb. Beck is sane 90% of the time and on this one he was right also. Let’s hear what Massa has to say, let’s use him to further convince the drones out of their stupor. Beck brings a whole new demographic to the cause, younger than 40 and doesn’t listen to AM radio.

He later apologized to Michelle on air.....no big deal here!

Let MASSA rant all he wants about Rahm and his escapades, extortions/contortions, and all his ballet moves. The more RAT laundry seeing the light of day the better we’re all for it.
FYI.. Glenn has been a friends with O’Reilly from the begining.. Glenn hasn’t been appeasing anyone.. He stands by friends reguardless of their differences.
That’s interesting, because I used to like both Levin and Beck. Then, I found Mark Levin unable to complete a single show without going on a childish (and substance free) rant about Glenn Beck and stopped listening to him. It’s unfortunate, because I have great respect for Levin’s mind.
One day that boy’s cheese is going to slip all the way off the cracker.
I think MM is pissed because Beck is giving Massa a lot of free time when his position on the HC bill is that it doesn’t go far enough i.e. no public option. I think Beck sees the guy as an interesting guest who is willing to speak out of school and throw some mud at the Obamanation.
Michelle is an ideologue, Beck is more of an entertainer, and therein lies the conflict.

Very true. That's the reason I am not a big Glenn Beck fan. He puts the Democrats and Republicans on equal planes too often, which is classic scorched-earth Libertarianism. BUT if there is an ounce of truth in Massa’s story, and I have no reason yet to doubt him yet, then let Beck do what he does best.
Malkin, God love her, has her own reputation of getting the Left and even some on the Right all “wee-weed up” with her style of investigative journalism, so I cannot comprehend why she is so against Beck doing the same.
Then Michelle Malkin admits that she will be tuning into Glenn’s show this afternoon, after saying what a waste of time it would be for Massa to be on the show!
Beck is indeed a pompous jerk. Did you hear the “Freudian slip” of calling MM Michele 0bama? Maybe it takes one to know one so Beck can easily spot a narcissist like 0bama.

Agree - plus I’m getting sick of Sean H. repeating that Reagan CPAC speech over and over and over. No pastels. We get that already. Rush is the only one that keeps his show fresh for the most part.
I first noticed the nastiness when he refers to truthers. All he had to say is he doesn’t support it but he goes out of his way to insult anyone who thinks proof of citizenship is a requirement.
That's what's been pissing me off about him lately.
When he brings new information to the table and does the investigative research stuff, he's absolutely second to none. When he starts believing he can tell other conservatives what to think, he becomes an insufferable douche-nozzle.
Plus, he tends to go full bore stupid at time. Like with the "birthers hate America" and "I love Bill O'Reilly" schtick..

I listen to him, and his little chalk board charts pidgeon holeing various people based on one issue is the worst type of defamation. Not completely untrue but used to smear the Whole person. Watch out for this type of indoctrination. It is very dangerous.
However, on the issue of School indoctrination he is right on.
I don’t practice his type of wide brush insulting. He does have his good issues.

Oh, man, Hannity has worn so thin on me. I wish there was something else to listen to at the 3:00 hour. How he maintains his audience is a mystery to me other than the fact that there’s just nothing else to listen to.
Beck is a good example of the old saying, “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing”. He is finally finding out things most of us already knew, and acting like he discovered them. He has the enthusiasm of the convert and goes overboard at times because he gets so excited at his own “new” knowledge. I like Beck, but he really needs to calm down. He also needs to tell O’Reilly to STFU and stop mocking him.
So he should talk to only the most informed and leave everybody else out?
How easy we forget the two days of Limbaugh's show when he said he will be voting for Bill Clinton, after giving it serious thought. And then he explained the reasons why he thought Clinton was the better candidate.
90% of the callers did not get that the two shows was pure sarcasm, but callers one after the other told him they were not going to listen to him again. And he just let them hang there. It wasn't until the third day when he explained why he did that. If I remember right he was trying to prove that his listeners were not just robots with no mind of their own. But still it was a very very odd week in Limbaugh history.
No, Michelle was right! Beck spent the next 10 minutes apologizing. That gal is savvy and smart.
He was only apologizing for snapping at her. She wasn’t right.

I test drove Beck for a few minutes at a time, and felt like he was preaching or talking down to me — just didn’t care for him or his style.
Rush I have listened to for as long as he has been on the air, and I am a longtime 24/7 member. Rush’s show is content, content, content, even tho he definitely has a showman’s/entertainer’s delivery, which I have no problem with.
