Do you miss George W. Bush? [we won't miss you - ZOT!]

When former President George W. Bush addresses the Economic Club of Grand Rapids in June, will he be riding a wave of nostalgia?

New York Times columnist Stanley Fish points to a few signs that Bush's image rehab has begun. One literally is a sign -- a billboard in Minnesota with an image of a smiling, waving Bush and a message that reads, "Miss Me Yet?"

He also notes a Newsweek cover story that vindicates Bush's Iraq policy, "Mission Accomplished" and everything.

Fish writes that Bush nostalgia, if it indeed exists, is the result both of Bush's relative silence since leaving office and growing public frustration with the Obama administration:

Bush profited from the fact that he kept a low profile and didn't snipe at his successor, a task left to his vice president, who therefore took upon himself the enmity and scorn previously directed at his former boss...

No! He’s the one who made possible for Obama to get elected.

Should I???????

If he WERE President again, he would just give us another Obama when his term was over.

No, I don’t miss him, although he was better than Obama.

Nope, not at all.

It takes a Carter to get a Reagan.

I plagiarized the saying......but liked it so much, thought it worth repeating.

Well, lets put it this way - I have learned to value a third-rate fireman over a first-rate arsonist. And I think the sheeple are finally catching on as well.

Hell, I miss Bill Clinton.

Yes, little did I think a vicious, thieving, narsacisstic congenital liar who couldn't keep it zipped would be made to look like a relatively good President!

I miss George W. Bush.
I miss his love of this country.
I miss his respect for our military.
I miss his perseverance in pursuing our enemies, against fierce opposition.
I miss his personal warmth and charm.
I miss his honor of the office of the presidency.
I miss his focus on tax cuts, rather than tax increases.
I miss his unabashed Christian witness.
Yes, I miss President George W. Bush.

I do not miss the constant barrage of vicious hatred aimed at President Bush from all directions. It was demeaning to the office and damaging to the Nation.

Oh sob! Like Bush didn't deserve criticism for: 1. Signing CFR. 2. Failure to use veto pen and reining a free-spending Congress. 3. Free drugs for seniors--the precursor to Obama's healthcare disaster. 4. Kennedy's No Child Left Behind. 5. Immigration reform. 6. A quicker and successful end to OIF and OEF. 7. "Mission Accomplished" PR stunt. 8. Compassionate Conservatism. 9. Helen Meyers and Dubai Ports. 10. "Heckuva Job Brownie!"

I give him credit for Roberts and Alito as well as rallying the nation after 9-11 and tax cuts in 2001 BUT there is little more to cheer for "Doublepeeyew"!

GW wasn’t perfect but at least the economic ‘Fundamentals’ were sound, even after the crash. Obama trashed contracts and private property. It’ll never be the same again.

My heroes have always been cowboys!
George W Bush, the last American President.

I miss the “W” from 2000-2004, after 2004 “W” became (or reverted to) RINO Status. When I think of this country under President Reagan I get teary thinking what my country has turned into.

"I do not miss the constant barrage of vicious hatred aimed at President Bush from all directions. It was demeaning to the office and damaging to the Nation."

They'll do that to every republican from now on. It's not about issues. It's a generic strategy.

Really? Excessive government growth, a commodities bubble, a real estate bubble, and a weak dollar were sound? And then there was sound plan to clean the junk out of the financial system that turned into corporate welfare instead.

What a silly poll question.

Do you miss the $1,000,000,000,000.00 in Stimulus and Bank Bail Outs GW and his gang pushed through on the Tax Payer?

His 2002 “compassionate” and “generous” Farm Bill should be added to the list, too.
