I hope this as a huge impact, and the healthcare bill goes down to defeat.

But ... didn’t the Zero say the healthcare bill would be GOOD for jobs ?
I’m so confused./s
Businesses providing health insurance to their employees was always a bad idea, and laws actually requiring them to do it is an even worse idea. When individuals are paying for their own healthcare or even shopping for their own insurance plans, they are much more frugal. Employers have to worry about claims of “discrimination” if they offer a plan that doesn’t cover every hangnail.

Is this possible due to the recent supreme court decision on free-speech and corporations....? Or is this just incidental....and good...haha....

Businesses can bring down the cost of health care if they do something similar to what Indiana has done, or similar to the approach that Safeway used-and that's a whole lot better than the obamanation that is being forced down our throats.

We could only hope this has some positive impact. Nationalizing health care in this country will mean lowering quality of care for all Americans.
Why would anyone throw out a system that works for 90% of the people to cover the 10% of those who don’t want or cannot get health care?

Major business groups Tuesday announced a multimillion-dollar ad campaign to stop President Barack Obama's health care overhaul takeover
as it approaches a make-or-break vote in the House.
The ad buy, costing between $4 million and $10 million, will start Wednesday on national cable TV outlets. I've nosed around the news sites but haven't spotted the name of this campaign. I expect it would have some catchy name or slogan. Anyone know? I am without "national cable TV outlets".
Could be some sort of red flag warning.

Because business thought they could some how placate the Obamessiah. They thought he would eat them LAST... they were wrong, and they realize it. The hand writing is on the wall for all to see: Obama is nothing but a socialist, Marxist, black-liberation-theology, “Afro-centric” RACIST, communist who wants to destroy America, destroy our free market capitalist system from within and business has finally woken up to the fact that THEIR HEADS are on the chopping block and will be one of the first to go.

I wish these cretins in the press would stop using the term "overhaul" for this bill.
Of course, I'm sure they focus-grouped it and found that "overhaul" was the term that most people identified with positively.
We should be sure to call it what it is whenever we see this term, however--it is a healthcare *takeover*.

"Businesses providing health insurance to their employees was always a bad idea, and laws actually requiring them to do it is an even worse idea."But my understanding is that businesses need only drop the employee health plan and pay the lower cost fine. Then the employee ends up with a policy from "the pool". Clarification?

Not as much as if their employees were buying their own insurance. Exactly. Employer-provided health care used to be a perk to attract employees. Jealousy on the part of those whose employers didn't offer the perk, aided and abetted by a Democrat party which ALWAYS seizes on jealousies and perceived "inequities" to get votes, has put us in the position we are today.

Yep.
Corporatism IS Collectivism IS Communism... IS Fascism - Fascism being that which is manifested when the framework of governance itself becomes the subjugating object of worship.
Thus the specified purpose for American governance in this Republic was "TO SECURE THESE RIGHTS, governments are instituted among men" -
To SECURE THESE RIGHTS from who/what? - from the flaw in collective human nature... that inevitably does what it does:
Republic vs Democracy

Read the Bible.
Ba'al, being a Hebrew word meaning lord, owner, master, possessor... often manifested in the merger between religion/state/commerce.
Fundamentaly it's a 1st commandment issue - when men declare God is dead and they are as gods.

I didn’t see Krauthammer’s comments, but I’ve always expected them to cave in. Why wouldn’t they ? They’ve undoubtedly been promised that the abortion funding and special deals will be removed in the Senate — and not through Reconciliation, either.
They won’t need Reconciliation, since the GOP will be onboard to strip out those things. Would you like to be a GOP Senator trying to defend why, if those special deals and abortion funding are so bad, you voted AGAINST removing them ?
