Monica Conyers, wife of Detroit congressman, faces sentence for bribery scheme in sludge deal

DETROIT (Associated Press) -- The most prominent person caught in an corruption investigation in Detroit is returning to court to be sentenced in a bribery scheme involving a city sludge contract.

Ex-councilwoman Monica Conyers pleaded guilty last summer to conspiracy and admitted taking cash in exchange for supporting a Houston company, Synagro Technologies. The contract passed by one vote in 2007.

Conyers is probably looking forward to his wife being sent up the river. Will give him a 4 year break from hearing her cackling 24 hours a day.

You are right they did hold the majority..Yes they also have criminals and we all know who they are..and no they would not do a thing about these criminals because they are one themselves..Not all Dem's or Re pub's are criminals it seems that way at times..To me none are trying to help he people of this country just selling out the people to make lots of money for themselves..
