So Obama is once again passionately attempting to sell his healthcare nightmare to the country. Why is this?
A) Poll after poll show that an overwhelming majority of Americans do not want to eat this crap sandwich.
B) Every time he promotes Obamacare, public support seems to drop off even more, and most importantly,
C) The President, Pelosi and Reid have made it abundantly clear this monstrosity will be passed, by whatever means necessary, REGARDLESS of public opinion
So why is he trying to sell it again? Maybe the insanity card is in play here. Insanity by definition is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Other thoughts?
At any rate when it comes time to ante up and vote on this thing, it will be interesting to see how many dims are willing to fall on their swords politically. The attitude at The White House seems to be that even if they loose both houses of Congress, all the countrys woes can be blamed on the GOP from 2011 - 12. The lamestream media will be only too happy to push this angle, meaning Obama might even squeak out a 2nd term. This President thinks of everything. Nice, huh?

Because campaigning is only thing related to the presidency that he’s any good at.
Add one more thing. He’s loosing friends in Washington. They are finding out that it may loose them their jobs if they are seen with him.
I think you answered your own question - vanity.
He gets to go out in flyover country to speak to handpicked audiences who treat him like it is back in the campaign. I wonder if he even knows that his audience is stages or if he really believes that his audience are normal Americans?

The international banks have shut off the credit valve - causing an avalanche of credit destruction.
The Federal government is trying to create new credit to offset the credit avalanche by spending like a drunken sailor.
The Health Care bill is an attempt to create an extremely large "trust" fund that the Federal government can steal money from.
If the Health Care bill fails then look for the economy to tank once again as the government can't create new debt as fast as the credit destruction is proceeding.
At some point, watch for the government to steal retirement funds into a "trust" fund and annuitize the payouts - all in the name of "protecting" the retirement accounts of the masses.
The bankers will most likely leave the "credit valve" shut off for the next 8 to 10 years in order to steal the underlying assets of the defaulting credit.
The more I learn about Obama, the more I wonder if he is sane or he is insane.

Especially before the 'uptick' in employment rate is surely severely lowered due to 'census workers' ending their temp jobs.

No...it's all in the name of the Federal government trying to convince people that we're not in the depression that we're in.
The government knows that they need to create new debt as fast as possible to keep their power structure from imploding and people on the street eating.
