You took the article wrongly.

The article pointed out that the “Boom” gen is just that - so populous that it will “cost” a lot of money to care for them.

It didn’t “blame” them for starting anything as you were quick to imply.

It looked like a tie in to me and I think that a lot of people took it as that, “If Millennials realize they’re going to have to pay the fiscal price for baby boomers’ sins”, people have been conditioned to think that boomers have been running America for about 60 years, except for the good stuff.

Depends on how much you make. When I was in Korea, you had to make at least $75k to have to pay any US tax. Since my income was not that high, I didn't owe any US Tax but I still had to file.

Yeah, where? My kids go to an international school is Sweden. It's made up of expats and Swedes who were expats but were sent back home. They send their kids to international school because THEY CAN NOT WAIT TO GET OUT AGAIN and they all openly vocalize it. That'll be us. Brain drain...but to where?

I have carefully maintained my daughter’s dual citizenship in Israel, in no small part for this reason.

Boomers had zero to do with creating those programs, Governor Palin was one year old when America passed the last two (the oldest boomer was still a teen) and SS is from the 1930s.

Article doesn't have to do with who created the programs. Article has to do with who has been in power these last few decades after definitive proof has been provided as to the programs' solvency and nothing has been done!

We (Freepers) would be wise to read up on the collapse of the USSR. Might pick up a few pointers on how to survive maybe even prosper. Also time to develop low tech skills like growing food, canning, fishing and water well digging.
