After a speech to Missourians pitching his health care plan, President Obama moved on to two fund-raisers in St. Louis for Democrats running in the November elections.
But Robin Carnahan, a candidate for the Senate, did not appear with Mr. Obama at the fund-raiser, instead flying to Washington for meetings scheduled earlier.
White House officials said that Ms. Carnahan already had plans when they decided that Mr. Obama would visit St. Louis, and that her campaign has asked if she could appear with him at a later date.
“We’re working on that,” said Reid H. Cherlin, a White House spokesman.
But Republicans in Missouri were quick to note her absence.
“Robin Carnahan can run from Barack Obama, but she can’t hide her wholehearted support for his liberal agenda,”

Obama, the anti-American, socialist/facist POTUS is the kiss of death when he campaigns for any Democrat. Obama is a living failed POTUS. Any Democrat that votes for Obamacare not playing with a full deck!!!
Dodd pulled the same stunt at his own fund raising luncheon last December in Hartford, CT when Biden appeared. Dodd’s excuse was he needed to be present on the Senate floor for a vote. The real reason was by then he was tired of facing a growing number of Dump Dodd protesters at every public appearance in Connecticut.
