First They Came for the Fish, Then They Stayed for the Food…
Noisyroom.net Blog ^ | 3-10-2010 | Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

Yesterday and today, I posted two items on the Obama Administration and the EPA preparing to ban sport fishing in the US:

No Fishing Allowed

United We Fish

Now, they are getting ready to nationalize the farming industry:

Federal regulators launch probe of big agriculture

So they are getting ready to “level the playing field” regarding farming and food:

"ST. LOUIS – Some Obama administration officials have made clear their unease with the increasing control a handful of corporations have over the nation’s food supply, and this week in Iowa they could show whether they are serious about changing the system."

America, when will it be one ’seizure too far’ that will push us collectively into serious action as a nation? If the government controls the food, they can starve us out… Do you realize that every totalitarian regime throughout history has seized the farms? If you control the food, you control the people…

It is at the heart of Chinese Communist Ideology:

Snip

Gee, this couldn’t have anything to do with unions, right? Bet on it…

You know what my recipe for a revolt or civil uprising is? Lack of food and employment… Violence and desperation will not be far behind. A parent will go hungry, but they won’t let their children go hungry – they will protect and provide for them no matter the cost. This is one more brick in the wall pushing us towards social upheaval so the government has an excuse to come down on us and change our government permanently as well as transforming all we believe in. I am certain that somewhere in this utter violation of the Constitution and our freedoms is the trademark ‘nudging’ of Cass Sunstein.

HR 814, introduced by Diana DeGette (D-CO) on Feb 3, 2009 [TRACE Act of 2009]; in committee. This bill has 5 co-sponsors and all are Democrats.

HR 875, introduced by Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) on Feb 4, 2009 [Food Safety Modernization Act]; in committee. This bill has 41 co-sponsors and all are Democrats.

S 425, introduced by Sherrod Brown (D-OH) on Feb 12, 2009 [Food Safety & Tracking Improvement Act]; in committee. This bill has no co-sponsors.

HR 1332, introduced by Jim Costa (D-CA) on Mar 5, 2009 [Safe FEAST Act of 2009]; in committee. This bill has 30 co-sponsors – 18 Democrats and 12 Republicans.

S 510, introduced by Richard Durbin (D-IL) on Mar 3, 2009 [FDA Food Safety Modernization Act]; on Senate Calendar. This bill has 15 co-sponsors – 8 Democrats and 7 Republicans.

Where there are collective farms, the kulaks can’t be far behind.

I told my friend about the fishing ban, and he said he would then have to fish with a gun.

I have a little 9 foot rowboat right here on the bank and can easily put out a trotline at dusk.

Before I let my children starve, I will start shooting the geese that totally ruin the lakeshore in the park. Matter of fact, I would really like to start shooting them long before the kids get hungry.

Political suicide in three easy steps.

1. Pass the unwanted health care takeover

2. Outlaw sports fishing

3. Have EPA reduce CO2 emissions by banning NASCAR

I've done that recently. See, there's this subdivision lake that's technically off limits, but nobody fishes it and it's slap full of 15-20 pound blue cats. ;^)>

I was just thinking that I would secretly plant catfish in the lake I live on. I probably wouldn’t be the only one.

As far as farming is concerned, there are a lot of root crops that are pretty easy to hide. Some, like parsnips can overwinter in the ground quite nicely.

Americans, a bunch of whiny slaves. I am ashamed to say that though I know as a FREE MAN, I either sit and take it, or ............................................................... I sit, out of fear, fear of death, fear of jail, fear of losing money, fear of peer pressure... Anybody with me? Yep, everybody.......

I am sure the Republicans regaining power will fix it all......NOT.

Here is the Obama statist model- Three articles from Cuba last year:
HAVANA, Cuba, June 9 2009 (Aleaga Pesant , www.cubanet.org) –Border guards and national police carried out a roundup last Saturday of fishermen, boaters and divers off the Malecón.

The operation started at 4 p.m. and involved the seizure of fish and the sinking of rafts. Those arrested were taken to a police station, where fines of up to 1,500 pesos, the equivalent of more than three monthly salaries for the average Cuba, were meted out.

Two cigarette boats were used in the roundup.

Those who fled on foot were captured by police in patrol cars.

A source related the roundup to the coming ashore last week of rafters on the coast near the U.S. Interests Section. That incident resulted in police swarming the area.

Under Cuban law, fishermen need government permission to fish and to build boats or rafts from which to fish.

Bad cheese causes two deaths

HAVANA, Cuba, June 8, 2009 (Roberto de Jesús Guerra / www.cubanet.org) – Two persons died after some 100 became sick and were hospitalized June 1 after eating bad cheese sold in Güines in Havana province, according to reports.

According to human rights activists, the dead included a minor. Julián E. Martínez, secretary of the Pro Human Rights party, “The Leopoldito Martínez hospital is full of poisoned people and many have been sent to hospitals in the capital because of the state of their health.”

Subsidized food quotas top be reduced

HAVANA, Cuba, June 1 2009 (Laritza Diversent, www.cubanet.org) –The government is reducing the quantity of food available at subsidized prices under rationing books.

The quota for black beans, currently 10 ounces per person per month, will be cut to five.

The quota for salt will go from 333 grams per month to 174.

So they are getting ready to “level the playing field” regarding farming and food:

That stands to reasoning, since they are leveling to playing fields with health and energy. The government will most likely design our diets according to the availability of food stuffs and the health of the individual. I see a lot of tofu in our future. It will be the new "meat", as animal productuction is wasteful. There will be a strong emphasis on organic food.

Those foreign countries that rely on us for food will have to learn to eat dirt.
