This showdown on Obamacare is a war between those who fight to enslave us under Marxism and genuine Americans who want to live in freedom.

Vladimir Lenin, an expert on Marxism, thinks so. A recent Communist Workers Party publication described Lenin’s position on the “value” of socialized healthcare as “… the keystone to the arch of the socialist state.”

American socialists have been fighting to enslave us since at least 1927 when socialist skunk Norman Thomas predicted America wouldn’t vote for socialism, but would adopt every aspect of socialism if it were presented under the banner of liberalism.

Obama’s health care scheme is presented as a plan to “help” the average American. Isn’t it being cloaked as humanitarianism, a way to “cover everybody and spread the wealth?”

Rank and file Democrats are the enemy of American freedoms

A February Gallup poll revealed that more than one of three (36%) of those living among us are too stupid to recognize the dangers of socialism and actually favor it. Not surprisingly 53% of Democrats have a favorable view of socialism.

This percentage of registered Democrats holds positive views of these elements of our national life: Capitalism just 53%; Big Business just 46%.

A very instructive 67% of registered Democrats had a positive view of the Federal government.

These are very scary numbers. They make it clear we have to keep fighting everybody and anybody in our way, regardless of party, to drive a stake through the heart of this disastrous bill.

If they win we lose. This is a totally zero sum contest.

If they win they will steal each day in the future lives our children and when the last piggy bank is smashed and the pennies are counted, they will tax us until we have nothing left to give.

There is no WAY I believe that they can make this stick.

If the want a REVELOUTION, I say we give it to them. Remove the entire Administration, Congress, the Fed, Unions and IRS.

Basically, this has to be achieved through force and not legislation because legislation is now the enemy of the Constitution and NOT its ally I know there is legal way to call for a snap election, but we have a tyrannical government which are out of control.

Because they view Federal government as a hammer by which they can “get even” against those they envy and despise. This would of course be in the areas of money, talent and ability, but also allows for blatant racism and religious hatred toward, almost exclusively, Christianity.

The primary figure who delivered Obama to the single-payer camp was Quentin Young, an 86-year-old retired physician who was a longtime friend and neighbor of Obama in Chicago.  Young joined the Young Communist League as a teenager in the late 1930s.  From the mid-1940s through the mid-1970s, he was closely associated with the Communist Party.  In October 1968 he was called to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee, which was probing the extent of his knowledge about the riots that had erupted at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago two months earlier.  The Committee accused Young of belonging to the Bethune Club, an organization for communist doctors; the group was named after Norman Bethune, a communist physician who devoted his services to the totalitarian regime of Mao Zedong

Dr. Young was active in the radical movements of the Sixties and Seventies and led a small delegation to Communist North Vietnam in 1972.  In the late 1970s, Young became associated with a Marxist organization known as the New American Movement, which was initially convened by Michael Lerner, an America-hating radical who counseled young people to explore the use of LSD and other hallucinogenic drugs as portals to a greater comprehension of socialist principles.

In 1980 Young founded the Health and Medicine Policy Research Group, a single-payer lobby group whose Board of Directors he chairs to this day.  In 1982 Young helped establish the Democratic Socialists of America, which, as the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International, asserts that "many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed."  In 1987 Young co-founded Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP), a single-payer advocacy organization where he currently serves as national coordinator. In PNHP’s view, government-run healthcare "should be financed by truly progressive taxation."

In 1995 Young attended the now-famous meeting at the Hyde Park home of former Weather Underground terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, where Barack Obama was first introduced to influential locals as the hand-picked successor to Alice Palmer, a pro-Soviet radical who planned to vacate her Illinois State Senate seat in pursuit of a higher elected office.  Young quickly became a friend and political ally of Obama, teaching the latter about the merits of single-payer healthcare.  In a 2009 interview with Amy Goodman of Democracy Now!, Young reminisced about the germination of his ideological kinship with the young Obama:

"Barack Obama, in those early days [as a state senator] -- influenced, I hope, by me and others -- categorically said single payer was the best way, and he would inaugurate it if he could get the support, meaning [Democratic] majorities in both houses, which he’s got, and the presidency, which he’s got.  And he said that on more than one occasion…."

Another noteworthy influence on Obama’s views vis à vis healthcare has been Dr. Peter Orris, who co-founded Physicians for a National Health Program with Quentin Young.  The son of a Communist Party member, Orris in the 1960s was a leader of Harvard University’s campus chapter of Students for a Democratic Society, the New Leftist organization that aspired to overthrow America’s democratic institutions and remake the nation’s government in a Marxist image.  He later joined the Communist Party (CP) for more than two decades, before ultimately shifting his allegiance to the CP splinter group, Committees of Correspondence, where he remains a prominent figure to this day.

Here are some points Republicans haven’t made (or I haven’t seen them):

1. Nationalized healthcare would require EVERY American’s private medical information would be in the custody and control of the U.S. government;

2. If the government has control of your body — life and death control over your health — how free is any citizen in that system?

3. In socialist countries (my wife is from Eastern Europe) ‘free healthcare’ is not free. To get on the appointment books timely, to receive coverage it’s EXPECTED that you pay cash. This includes calling their version of 911 — you pay cash to the paramedics to get to the hospital. If you don’t they leave. Nationlizing healthcare will create an underground network cash system.

4. The Canadian politician traveling to the U.S. for healthcare. Healthcare can be a road show these days with easy plane travel. If the economics don’t add up in the U.S., doctors will set up shop in a nearby country/island and the rich will continue to receive superior care as they are willing to pay for it. These are jobs and economic opportunities being driven out of the U.S.

Haven’t heard any of these arguments made yet.

The Socialist Worker. org does not say the quote is phony. It does allegedly quote it from an AMA pamphlet.

Snopes, in its usual deceptive style, attributes the quote to Karl Marx -- not Lenin -- and says it is a phony.

Snopes is only good for the bambi hunt and other such garbage.
