Adam Kokesh: An anti-war smear merchant in “Republican” clothing
Michelle Malkin ^

Posted on 03/11/2010 9:55:02 AM PST by mnehring

Before there was a nationwide, grass-roots Tea Party movement, there was another nationwide, grass-roots movement that brought thousands of Americans to Washington, D.C. They called themselves the “Gathering of Eagles.” I covered two massive, GoE rallies against the Soros-funded, anti-war Left in March 2007 and September 2007. GOE activists continue to expose the transnational progressives, anti-military bullies, and phonies who operate under the “peace” banner.

One of the groups that GOE dogged was Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) — whose members have included bomb-threat bullies and death-threat nutballs who threatened to assassinate me, fake Army vet Jesse MacBeth, and another prominent member who smeared the Young America’s Foundation by faking an anti-Muslim hate flyer and smeared David Horowitz with similar race-card playing flyers, then weaseled out of the attacks by claiming they were “satire.”

The last two incidents involved an IVAW member named Adam Kokesh. He marched in uniform in mock patrols for the anti-war movement, paraded around holding an upside-down American flag (see Jonn Lilyea for more), was arrested for defacing signs, and traveled to Germany to urge soldiers to abandon their posts and seek aid and comfort with his anti-war minions.

Kokesh, believe it or not, is now running as a Republican candidate for Congress in New Mexico. And, believe it or not, he is getting positive exposure on at least one Fox News show. He has the backing of Ron Paul, the Republican Liberty Caucus, and the 9/12 Project.

The New Mexico Republican Party has its head in the sand. If you have friends and family in New Mexico, make sure they know who the real Adam Kokesh is.

He is an anti-war smear merchant in GOP clothing. Spread the word.

This is weird.
I was trying to post this same story from MM site.
Was having trouble, so I quit and reopened
and here was this post.

Mainly wanted to keep this vermin on our front page news and ask about the dishonorable discharge mentioned somewhere?

Post often, since the lamestreet media seem to pass on some stories.

I’d like to hear what the Ron Paulbots have to say about this. He’s their candidate. Do they approve of having a candidate like this? Their hero Ron Paul does...

All of these groups are closely aligned with ANSWER and Workers World Party, and also United for Peace and Justice. UFPJ is headed by communist Leslie Cagan. Their co-chair was, possibly still is?, Judith LeBlanc. LeBlanc is, or was until recently, vice president of Communist Party USA.

ANSWER was founded by Workers World Party and former VP under LBJ, Ramsey Clark's International Action Center. ANSWER is now officially under the control of Party For Socialism and Liberation, although the PSL leadership are all former WWP leaders. WWP openly states that they are members of the international communist movement. Their latest "peace" group is called "Troops Out Now".

From Workers World Party:

"Dear Comrade Kim Jong Il...

With his leadership [Kim Il Sung], the Korean people defeated the Japanese colonial occupation and soon after brought about the first defeat of the U.S. imperialist military machine. ...

Workers World Party values our close, comradely relations with the Workers Party of Korea very highly. We are proud to have known Kim Il Sung as a great leader and a comrade in the international communist movement. ..."

With comradely solidarity, Sam Marcy Chairperson, Workers World Party" (1994):

Note: the page (on the Workers World Party website) with this photo has recently been removed.

But here's other evidence of his speaking at the event:

"Among the many speakers were elected representatives—U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel and New York City Council members Charles Barron and Margarita Lopez—who have bucked their party to come out against the war. Barron has also introduced a Troops Out Now resolution in the City Council."--Workers World Party

"Mainly wanted to keep this vermin on our front page news and ask about the dishonorable discharge mentioned somewhere?"

According to wikipedia (take it for what it's worth) it looked as though the Marine Corps was trying to downgrade his honorable discharge to other than honorable. They were unsuccessful and got his discharge downgraded to General under honorable conditions. Usually, they give this type of discharge to people who are getting out for administrative or medical reasons.

Needless to say, he's not welcome at my Marine Corps League meeting or any Marine Corps birthday celebration I attend.

Kokesh or Paul?

I've not seen any Kokesh signs. Isn't our primary in June? Or is this from the 2008 election?

Was that for a local election? I don't remember seeing him on the ballot for anything here.

Kokesh is running for rep as the Gop Candidate—worse than the current DIMRAT incumbant, evidently.

Sigh.

Yeah. He's competing against Tom Mullins for NM 3rd Cong. Dist. in the June 1 Republican primary. The thing that gets me, is he's still showing as a Republican candidate on the NM Rebublican Party site.

Maybe the word needs to get to Villanucci on KKOB 770.

I'm going to contact the NM Repub Party to see about getting him off the ballot or at least to out him on the party's site.

The scary thing is, if he goes up against Mullins and wins, NM 3 loses either way. Either with Lujan or Kokesh.
