(note to Seattle Police:  The 'focus' control on your camera is usually the knurled bezel on the end of the lens.  Rotate this in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions until sharp focus is achieved.)

There is raw video available at the main article link and it's only slightly better quality than the above photo.  Nothing particularly exciting happens in the video.

According to police, employees of a Second Avenue mission said the suspect, clad in black and covered in duct tape, had come into the mission "and threatened to blow the place up." He then told staffers "that he was a vampire and wanted to eat people."

The man, who also called himself "a space cowboy," showed the pipe-like device taped to his wrist. Staffers ushered the man out of the building and called police.

There are times when even the quality of the insane people here in Seattle disappoints me.  "sigh"

Why does a member of the undead, who can turn into a bat and control the actions of the feeble-minded need high-explosives, exactly?

I think it’s been almost three years since I’ve been downtown.

Suddenly... it occurs to me why that is.

Well, at least the Seattle Police are getting better at this. The guy from Western State Hospital (where they keep the mentally ill) that had a Samuri Sword kept them at bay for almost a whole day.

Yesterday was my scheduled day off, or I would have been pretty close to it all.

I miss all the fun!
