Thanks for the Jefferson fix; I love this quote: “It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself.” That’s going into my Tagline.
That Jefferson line stood out for me too. The Founding Fathers were prophetic in many ways. I come across prophecies in Washington’s writings and speeches also. They worried whether the construct they labored for would stand, or for how long.
