I don’t blame them, I wouldn’t want him visiting my country either.
Looks like they don’t like him very much either.
What's their beef? Not enough gimmes?
That’s what I was wondering. Why are the protesting him?
‘The bullseye is a nice touch.
What’s their beef? Not enough gimmes?’
I dont know but maybe this should of been ‘caption this’ thread.
Maybe he’s not muzzie enough for them.
I guess my hopes that they’ll keep him permanently are misplaced. Bummer.
We can change the locks. :)
What is the significance of the sneakers on the banner?
run, obama run?
see ‘bama run
Maybe to symbolize throwing them at him?
Maybe someone can market a new game outta this.

The kicker in the photo appears to be Papuan, the easternmost province in Indonesia. The Papuans are not really pleased with Caligula or his policies because he backs the national policy (the Javanese) against a special autonomy, and especially not independence, that so many Papuans desire. Papuans feel their island was stolen from them by Indonesia in a rigged election. There is a very strong independence movement among Papuans.
See my post #16. This is not a mild feeling, i.e. an argument between brothers. Papuans loved George Bush and feel betrayed. They also believe that Caligula is moslem.
‘Papuans feel their island was stolen from them by Indonesia in a rigged election. There is a very strong independence movement among Papuans.’
You will have to educate me more as I’m not very familiar with that part of the world.
Thank you for the reason for the unrest...Makes sense now...
Let’s see, Papua had been governed by the Netherlands for quite some time. But Indonesia was claiming the province as they had already taken control of the rest of the islands (it had been a Dutch colony for a long, long time). But the UN stepped in and said, “let’s see what the Papuans say.” So there was an election of sorts to basically decide go with the devil they had (the Dutch) or the devil that was promising to be an angel (the Indo government). Well, the Indos promised a whole bunch of stuff and bribed a bunch of people and basically selected who got to vote and who didn’t. At least, that is what the rebels have told me.
When the dust settled, the Indo government had won and Papua, known at that time as Irian Jaya, became the 27th province (I think) of Indo. But it has not been a smooth marriage and the Papuans want a divorce. They’ve been treated as ignorant savages, not worthy of respect, consideration or governance. Their land has been taken from them by decree with nothing given in return. Their natural resouces have been plundered with most of the money (think hardwoods, oil, gold, silver and copper) for it going to some coffers on Java. The people have not been given teachers or doctors, roads, schools and hospitals have not been built as was promised.
All of this has been building a resentment among the Papuans which spills out into action from time to time. But, the weapons the locals have are bows and arrows, spears and slingshots. They are one or two generations removed from the stone age. So, they are looking for support from freedom loving and supporting nations.
For the record, the US supports the Indonesian government.
Thanks

Thousands of followers of a conservative Islamic group held peaceful demonstrations Sunday in several Indonesian cities against the planned visit of President Barack Obama.
Witnesses and police said members of the Islamic group Hizb ut-Tahrir protested in East Java’s provincial capital of Surabaya, South Sulawesi’s capital of Makassar and three other cities. The group, an international network which believes Muslims should unite in a single global state governed by Islamic law, urged the Indonesian government to reject the American leader’s trip, scheduled for late March.
“We know Obama spent his childhood in Indonesia, but as president his policy contradicts the people’s interests in Indonesia,” protest organizer Nasrudin said in Makassar.
Hundreds of police monitored the protests, which drew around 2000 people outside the US Consulate in Surabaya and another 2000 in the streets of Makassar. No violence was reported. Dozens of demonstrators also rallied in the Java city of Yogyakarta, the West Kalimantan town of Pontianak and the eastern town of Mataram.
Men and women wearing black veils held up yellow banners reading “Reject the visit of Obama” as they marched in the streets of the two larger cities.
“He doesn’t work for a peaceful world ... on the contrary, Obama is the same as George Bush, who has destroyed the Muslim world in Iraq and Afghanistan. Therefore we have to reject the visit of Obama to Indonesia,” said Nasrudin, who, like many Indonesians, uses only one name.
Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim nation. Most of its nearly 200 million Muslims practice a moderate form of the faith.
The country’s largest Muslim organisation, Nahdlatul Ulama, and its second largest, Muhamadyah, have both welcomed Obama’s visit.

If the Indonesians are as sick of Obama as America is, perhaps they can look around in some old, dusty
filing cabinets to help secure some more revealing paperwork on Barry's childhood.

As you can see, it’s only Hizb ut-Tahrir that is protesting, the majority of Indonesia’s 250 million muslims will welcome him.
Your MSM is playing up the protest angle.
Doesn’t matter. It’s probably enough to scare the yellow belly and a HUGE blow to his narcissistic ego.
