Palin jokes about palm notes, blasts media, Obama
Miami Herald ^ | 03.12.10 | BRENDAN FARRINGTON

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin joked Friday about the notes she had written on her hand at a recent speech, yet still angrily criticized the White House and the media for making an issue out of it.

In a speech at an Orange County Republican fundraiser, she repeatedly referred to getting caught with the notes written on her palm at a speech last month. She went one-by-one through each of the thoughts she said she jotted down: energy, tax cuts and lifting the American spirit.

In an obvious shot at President Barack Obama, she said she was "Busted for using a poor man's TelePrompTer. I was just kicking it old school. It's the way we used to do it."

She also referred to the Bible, telling the audience to look up Isaiah 49:16, which reads, "Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands."

Palin said, "If writing on one's palm was good enough for God, then it's good enough for the rest of us."

One of the many things I like about her is her willingness to junp right back in the faces of The Marxist Onada and his propaganda organs. I find that refreshing since Republicans seem to think silence puts them on some kind of high ground.

If you don’t defend yourself you get run over. That’s as true in political combat as it is in military combat. Bush’s New Tone achieved nothing but disrespect.

It's also the kind of Alinskyesque calculated lie that political operatives use to shape public perception of their enemies. There is not the slightest indication of any "anger" in Palin's comments. She was "mockingly" criticizing the White House and media, not "angrily". There is a big difference. However, since their goal is to plant into the public mind the perception that Palin is some sort of angry, ranting extremist they will continue to lie.

Remember not long ago when the left went loony (or loonier) over Sarah Palin writing on the palm of her hand?

Well, she gave us an answer to that little incident...

Go HERE to see the Palin video.

Well, if it's good enough for GOD, isn't it good enough for Palin?

-- snip --

Here is an EXCELLENT (if low quality) video of Governor Palin (at the Ohio "Right To Life" event, on March 5, 2010)

-- also posted on citizenpalin4president.blogspot.com --
defending writing on her hand
("I didn't have a good answer [at first] ...as so often is me.")
with a Bible verse sent to her by a supporter:
Isaiah 49:16 (New International Version):

"See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me."
Sarah Palin:
"Hey, if it was good enough for God, scribbling on the palm of HIS hand, it's good enough for me - for us!

I'm in good company!"

I mean that most everyone on here likes Palin. They just see her in a political perspective. Can’t do that with Palin worshippers, A person cannot discuss the pros and cons of a Palin candidacy.

Do any of you wonder why a thread like this gets no interest? You should. It isn’t Palin, it is the FR worshippers, Nobody wants to argue with a person who is so much a worshipper that they cannot honestly debate.

Palin is not a candidate yet, but none of you will talk about that, we are supposed to sign on and ignore the warts.

Not going to happen.

FR is like herding cats. What you all are doing is keeping Sarah out of the limelight instead of putting her into it.

Nobody around here is ready to annoint anyone yet for 2012.

She doesn’t have to be a “candidate” to speak truth, to encourage the discouraged, to energize us, get a grip. NO ONE has stood up to any of these fascists like she has, she doesn’t have to be PRESIDENT to do so, nor a CANDIDATE to speak, especially when she is appreciated for her efforts and for walking the walk and most of all, for being “one of us”, yeah, I’ll take that.

No one has received more hate-filled invectives than she and her family and yet enters the fight like we all should be doing. She is showing the way, it’s called leadership.

OK, let's discuss the "cons" of Sarah. The problem is that the "cons" have already been dissected and discussed here. That's why us Palin worshippers get so impatient when we see the same negative crap posted about Sarah over and over again.

Yet, anytime when we do engage in rational discussion of Sarah' negatives, it's misconstrued as us vehemently defending Sarah, when that's not the case.

They are hurting her more than helping her. They do not understand that in order for her to ever have a chance they need to cut this stuff out.

This is one of the most idiotic statements I've seen lately, not that I haven't read quite a few idiotic statements. How could anyone hurt Sarah by expressing their appreciation with a term of endearment? No male politician's success or failure has hinged on the words “he is my man,” so why should it be different when it comes to “she is my girl" in reference to Sarah Palin? What chances are you referring to, anyway? We don't know what her plans are, do you?

And while we are talking about terms people use, the right term in this context is 'hits,' not 'looks.' That is, it is over 1200 hits to the thread you are referring to. What this tells you is that people read these threads but many don't post there partly because of the hateful self anointed thread cops, policing these threads and hurling insults at Sarah or her supporters. A thread with over 1200 hits shows that people are interested in Sarah, but don't feel like getting into fights with posters like you.

And just for the record, Sarah is my girl, too! And if you don't like it, too freaking bad!

Sickening? What is sickening are the Sarah haters obsessed with Sarah, who spend a lot of time posting in as many Sarah threads as they can with the aim of trashing her and her supporters, and calling them fanatics while they themselves can't stop posting on those threads. Talk about fanatics!

No one is anointing Sarah, we are simply supporting her as a political figure that has a positive conservative influence and advances the conservative cause.  Her criticism of Obama is a good thing, and every comment Sarah makes gets a strong  reaction from the media – if she were insignificant, the media wouldn't be talking about her as much as they do.  So if the media attacks her, it is because she is an influential conservative, and being an influential conservative is a good thing.

The only arguments I have seen against Palin are repeat MSM talking points. And I can’t believe people like you fall for it.

I am not requesting that everyone blindly throw their support around an candidate. But if you are going to judge Palin. Please judge her on her merrits and her record. Not what NBC news tells you to think.

I don’t listen to NBC news. I was not even judging Palin.

I like Palin a lot. I am not happy about her support for Juan...but I could get over that. But that is me. Many around here won’t budge at all.

The only thing I care about is if she can get the nomination, and if she does, can she win. I ask people outside of FR their opinions on Palin. They differ. Funny thing is that most know the MSM has tried to paint her as a lightweight which tells us that many know better. The thing that hurts her the most was resigning her role as governor. I understand why she did. I really don’t blame her for that either. I am sure the nitwit lefties up there in Alaska were making her family life a nightmare.

I agree with her postions on the issues, at least the ones I know about. I am not sure of her position on immigration.

Thanks for not cursing. That is appreciated. I hope you can see that I do think she could be a good candidate if she decides to run. We don’t know that yet.

In order to choose a candidate, people have to be able to discuss the pros and cons. Minds can be changed if people are allowed to hash it out. Right now, anyone who asks questions or has any bit of reservations regarding Palin is attacked as a troll or a Romneybot. Which I am not.

Supporting McCain is not a MSM talking point.
Sarah did resign, that was not made up by the MSM. The other GOP candidates and the democraps will attack her for that. Thats just a fact. It will be up to her how she handles that.

Besides this is FR. Truth is people enjoy mixing it up. If we all agreed all the time nobody would bother posting here.

Imagine if Palin does run and these Fringers volunteer for their state's Palin for President campaign and actually do door-to-door work:

Elderly lady: "Well I'm not sure if Sarah Palin is quite ready to be our President"
Fringer: "TROLL! Let me guess, you're a Romneyite, aren't you?!!"

Construction worker: "I haven't decided, tell me why I should vote for Palin"
Fringer: "Because God wants you to! He's guiding our Sarah"
