JihadJane's 'cohort' a 2nd Blond Bomber
NY Post ^ | March 13, 2010 | TODD VENEZIA

Authorities have captured a second "JihadJane" -- a Colorado woman who allegedly got mixed up in an international plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist after converting to Islam and marrying a Muslim man in New York, according to a report.

Jamie Paulin-Ramirez, 31, was being questioned in Ireland along with six other people in the scheme to off Lars Vilks, who outraged many by depicting the prophet Mohammed as a dog in his drawings, the Wall Street Journal reported yesterday.

"I'm angry with her right now," said Paulin-Ramirez's mom, Christine Holcomb-Mott. "I'd like to just choke her. But I'm worried about her, too. I love my daughter."

Blond means a race, and a very small sub group of that race.

If they mean a disguise then they need to say it, they can’t use “blond” to mean that “blonds” are doing something.

If this woman has dyed her hair to look “blond” then that needs to be revealed.

Where are all the loudmouths that advocate profiling at airports now?

Jihadists come in all flavors. Behavior profiling coupled with random searches is the answer.

I am right here. Sure by profiling we might have missed her, but we have to look at the 90% we could stop.

This is certainly no excuse not to profile.

By the way Mom, I would like to choke her too.

I'm here. The Israelis have, for years, been profiling passengers who fly El-Al and have an impeccable safety record to backup that practice.

The Israelis use behavior profiling, which is not widely advocated around here. Mostly, you read posts about banning or profiling Muslims....which is comical, because Muslim is not discernible by sight.

Uh, the Israelis also use racial profiling of El Al passengers which is not comical in any way, and has proven to be highly effective. They’re looking for ay-rabs who are quite discernible by sight.

You are incorrect that El Al racial profiles. They engage nearly every passenger in conversation and behavior profile them.

Racial profiling for islamic terrorism has so many holes in it that if you can't see it, you are not worth talking to.

Remember, what you "know" is not always so.

"They engage nearly every passenger in conversation and behavior profile them."

While that is true, they also racial profile to the nth degree.

I don’t know how you got such a benign post removed, but you did.

As a guy that is so light in the loafers that you would claim the tag line of “Hook’em Horns, just like the heterosexual Texans do, I wish you all the success, since I am being filtered to a level that this post may not survived.

"Paulin=Ramirez, mother Holcomb-Mott, stepfather who is Muslim, hmmmmm."

I'm glad you caught that too. It is a key element of the story and it is being actively suppressed by the media. They act as if this woman just went to the 7-11 one day for a soda and came back as a muslim convert intent on jihad!

“Muslim is not discernible by sight...”

Easy to solve. Require everyone to “pat the dog.”

They may refuse, if they like, but there is your profile.

No, but it seems that you think that, that is the way men talk to each other.

You also think that men have "issues", "machismo" and think of each other as "cupcakes". What branch of the military were you in?

Yes, profile, since all international terrorist are Muslim (which is not to imply all Muslims are terrorists.) Yet profiling based on stated religion is not enough as these two psycho women demonstrate.

“So, how are you going to tell a Muslim from a non-muslim? “

We should start by passing a law that requires all muslims to wear a patch sewn onto their clothing that identifies them as muslim and forbid them to form relationships or do business with non-muslims, then maybe we could designate a specific suburb in each major city and only permit them to live there.... but we’ll have to find a final solution eventually.

“Here's the list of the ones who didn't “...become the middle school assistant football coach with artificial knees in someplace like Marfa”. LOL! Here's the list of the ones who didn't “...become the middle school assistant football coach with artificial knees in someplace like Marfa”. LOL! All-Time Longhorns in the NFL

Well, no argument here that UT has placed it's share of players in the NFL and old AFL. So, good return for sure. Just out of curiosity (I'm too lazy to research this) I wonder what percent of UT players played in the NFL? Pretty small I bet. And, of those who played in the NFL I wonder how many went on to have successful NFL after-lives? I do realize that “successful” is a subjective word. But, I suppose the question is; for most of these NFL players, was there a positive payback resulting from their NFL experience? Just wondering as I have read about so many who left the NFL dead broke and crippled. Btw, I'm not anti football, NFL or anything of the sort as I played high school football in a little town not much larger than Marfa, except I played 11 man ball and Marfa plays 6 man ball - bit of trivia. Anyway, I just believe that receiving a degree (which most college players do not) trumps a few years in the NFL or NBA for that matter for the vast majority.

With all due respect, I hope that you simply forgot a sarcasm tag. Sounds a little too familiar to forcing certain residents of Central Europe to wear an identifying patch on their clothes, forbade them from doing business, and confining them to live in particular parts of town. I have little sympathy or empathy for Muslims, as I find their culture appalling, but what you’re suggesting is a little to 1930’s - 40’s for me. If you’re not kidding, I humbly suggest the word ‘endlösung’, as the phrase ‘Final Solution’ sounds so much better in the original German. Shower, anyone?

I DARE you to tell the difference between an Israeli and an Arab by sight!

I will bite that. As someone who worked in Ramat Gan and lived in Manhattan and Miami I guarantee I can tell tween an Ashkenazim Jew and an Arab or most Sephardi and an Arab...Yemeni Jews might be problematic.

I love how smart some freepers are.

Erik who only has to fight keyboard terrorists is a genius over profiling but Israel who has been fighting them since 1948 ...stupid.

btw....was that a DOUBLE-DOG-DARE Erik?

It’s definitely a small percentage of college players (UT included) who make lasting, successful careers in the pros. I agree 100% with your statement about the value of a college degree over a couple of years in the NFL. Lots of UT players who’ve played in the NFL for a few seasons end up selling cars at the various Austin dealerships.

“After a few years in Marfa, he’d see the light.”

Pretty good! I see that you are familiar with Marfa :) Btw, by using Marfa as an example I was not slighting the town. I lived in Midland for several years and one Saturday while reading the sports section I saw a picture that I wish I had saved. It was of a kid in his football uniform, all dirty from playing the first half of a game, marching in the band at halftime playing a big ole tuba. I always think of this photo as a reminder of small town Americana and how folks who live in these small towns have such great community spirit. I thought the photo depicted that spirit perfectly.

So, you must have super-powers that can identify what religion somebody belongs to!

Are you the guy at the carnival that also guesses people's favorite color?

I don’t want to get in the middle of a good FR dispute, but I think Israel depends more on the answers to verbal interrogation than racial identity. Not to say that isn’t a factor, but looking for Arabs would miss a lot of potential terrorists, and political disruptors. As Jane demonstrates. We should have figured this out back in the shoe bomber days. But we haven’t, we focus on the shoes. I do think the Israeli’s are way ahead of us on this, even though Reid got through their security too.

The Israelis profile and for good reason regardless of what anyone on this forum and they can tell Arabs too from their own same as I can usually.

That sums it up.

I could care less about political correctness, diversity or discriminating against minorities if it helps save this nation from harm.

But that’s just me.

The sickness of bigot baiting and political correctness on this forum has always been troubling.

Reminds me of Bush having the mullahs over after 9-11.

I’ll pass.
