On Friday, the Obama administration filed an amicus brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, supporting the use of racial preferences by the University of Texas in its undergraduate admissions. The brief is a full-throated endorsement of such discrimination, and it goes out of its way to say that the administration will support it at the K-12 level, too, as well as throughout university admissions: In view of the importance of diversity in educational institutions, the United States, through the Departments of Education and Justice, supports the efforts of school systems and post-secondary educational institutions that wish to develop admissions policies that endeavor to achieve the educational benefits of diversity in accordance with [the Supreme Courts 2003 decision upholding the use of preferences by the University of Michigan law school].
The brief is also noteworthy because the University here wants to make sure that there is plenty of racial diversity on a classroom-by-classroom basis, and because the University was already bragging about its high degree of diversity when it decided to ramp it up through more overt preferences following the Supreme Courts 2003 decision. There is also the usual disingenuousness of how race is only being considered a factor but, of course, that factor will make the difference for many students in whether they get in or not, else why consider it at all?
This case, in all likelihood, is headed to the Supreme Court, and the Obama administration has now staked out its position.
Obama using the overwhelming tactic to it’s full effect.
You forgot criminal.
I think this is the perfect place to put some quotes from the Muslims books..”Dreams From My Father”and “The Audacity Of Hope”.
From Dreams of My Father: ‘I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.’
From Dreams of My Father : ‘I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.’
From Dreams of My Father: ‘There was something about her that made me wary, a little too sure of herself, maybe and white..
From Dreams of My Father: ‘It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.’
From Dreams of My Father: ‘I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.’
And FINALLY, and most scary!
From Audacity of Hope: ‘I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.’
If you have never forwarded an anything, now is the time to do so!
We CANNOT have someone with this mentality trying to run our GREAT nation!
These are his words straight from his books!
By 2023, half of the children 18 and under in this country will be minorities as classified by the USG.
Nice description, fits perfectly. :-)
I guess melanin trumps content of character.
No surprise... this is the MOST RACIST administartion to ever usurp the Whitehouse.
I suppose it is too much to ask of an establishment conservative who no doubt plays the game of the Left’s field to even ask the most basic questions. What kind of Nuremburg Race Laws are they going to put on the books to enforce this non-sense?
If my daughters reported experiences in University are any sign, one effect will be that many “non-diverse” students are increasingly seeking both educational and job opportunities overseas. They’re young......not necessarily stupid.
The List, ping
Question:Wnen the conservatives take over Washington will it be possible to impeach the Muslim on all the information we have on him?Or is it going to be to late?
Good points to remember. So much “it’s all about race.”
To pick a nit: The book is called Dreams FROM my Father. (Frankly OF might be a better word, but “From” it is.)
Those statements should be publicized everywhere. Interesting that Juan McCain never made use of them during the campaign.
Thanks for the correction....
John McCain rolled over.
He was sooooo afraid of being called a raay sisss that he wouldn’t try to “beat the black guy”.
Worst presidential candidate since Bob Dole.
