The New York Times's top movie critic A.O. Scott on Friday reviewed “Green Zone,” a leftist fantasy about the Iraq War starring Matt Damon, in which the U.S. military are the bad guys.

Scott embraced the movie's hard-left politics and fantastical anti-military plot, showcased in the movie's “hero” played by Damon, disillusioned Army officer Roy Miller

Without divulging the paranoid plot points of the narrative, (Damon's character is targeted for assassination by the U.S. military and corrupt government officials) NY Times A.O.Scott vouched for the basic truth of the anti-American story.

A.O. Scott - before joining The New York Times, Scott served as book critic for Newsday, and also as a contributor for the The New York Review of Books and Slate magazine.

As I’ve stated on another thread about this movie, Damon may be alive and well, but he and this movie are dead to me. I’ll not watch, rent, or buy anything that he appears in. Ever.

Let's hope the public agrees. I heard the movie didn't do well.

There used to be a class of men who crept about on their hands and knees in darkened movie theaters sniffing women's shoes.
In my book A.O. Scott falls into the same class of man. Passions unclean beat in his heart. What loathing of his fellow countrymen to produce such tripe.

Maybe this is why the movie had a whopping 5 million dollar opener. If the NYTimes recommends it, you can bet it’s anti-American crapola.

“Green Zone, which cost $100 million to produce, will turn out to be another Iraq War drama that flops — and flops badly — at the domestic box office.”

A. O. Scott is their “top movie critic”? Never heard of him.

And I’m afraid the name’s not memorable enough to stick in my head longer than the time it takes to type this comment.
