President Obama made another stop on his health care road show in Strongsville, Ohio this afternoon, making the rather odd case that the American people don't want their representatives to look at polls measuring what people want.
Wrapping up his speech, Obama said:
“The American people want to know if it’s still possible for Washington to look out for their interests. For their future. So what they’re looking for is some courage. They’re waiting for us to act. They’re waiting for us to lead. They don’t want us putting our finger out to the wind. They don’t want us reading polls. They want us to look and see what is the best thing for America and then, do what’s right.”

Good point. Obama doesn’t give a damn about November and majorities. This bill fundamentally changes America, something he promised to do. This is their only chance to get it done. Once it becomes law, it will be very difficult to undo. Our best hope will be 10th Amendment court challenges.
I agree 100%. Once this bill is passed it will NEVER be repealed. Every libbie in the world will scream RACISM if they do it and, as always, the GOP will put it's tail between it's legs and do nothing.

On March 30, 2009 the Texas House of Representatives passed HCR 50 affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment.
You have publicly supported this bill, and stated that attorney generals from all over the union could be getting ready to sue the US Government.
We are asking you to take the lead.
We are asking you to order the Texas Attorney General to publicly begin working on a law suit under Article IV, Ninth, and Tenth Amendment of the Constitution.
We are asking you to protect the citizens of Texas that we will not stand for government controlled healthcare in our state.
Under your leadership we can effectively kill the proposal of this administration and allow Texas to be a state free from socialism and collectivism.

The very well-organized Susan B. Anthony List is running radio ads in Nine (9) Key Congressional Districts represented by Pro-Life Democrats. They are strongly urging those Congressmen to STAND FIRM and vote HELL NO on DeathCare.

By the time next January rolls around (I am assuming he next the extra few months to tighten his stranglehold), he will declare the election null and void, and will consider seating only those who were members of the previous congress.
Further, it will be at this point he will demand that all firearms in the possession of private citizens immediately be brought to the nearest police station.
Along with that, he will declare that, due to the "national emergency", and in line with previous presidential directives, the country will be split up into 10 major federal regions, headed by former governors. This will obviate the need for states.
And finally, he will declare that, due to that selfsame "national emergency", the Constitution of the United States will henceforth be held "in suspension", it's effect on future law will also being null and void.
Think I'm kidding? Emboldened by success in passing ramming through "Health Care Reform", and maybe a few others to come, I can easily see this scenario unfolding.
