When the unqualified term "Bulldog" is used, I think most people think of the (now) cuddly, large, flat faced, drooly English Bulldog. That breed has had most of its ill temperament bred out of it, by crossing the original Bulldog with Pugs.

On a hunch, I looked for a picture of the dog, and the only one I could find was a picture of an American Bulldog. These dogs are not your fat, lazy, cuddly cute bulldogs. These bullies can make pit bulls look small.

Another version of the article says the dog is a pit-bull mix. Perhaps, but if the picture is to be believed, its a Johnson type American Bulldog (as opposed to the Scott type, which is more of a pit bull).

With the Staffordshire that has been our house guest lately, my husband said these kinds of dogs will eat anything. This article definitely proves it.
