Boehner: “Mr. President, This Isn’t About You … It’s About the American People”

At a press conference this morning with House & Senate GOP leaders, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) dismissed President Obama’s sales pitch to rank-and-file Democrats that “the fate of his presidency” is on the line with the upcoming health care vote and also discussed the House vote expected today on the resolution offered by Rep. Parker Griffith (R-AL) to block the “Slaughter Solution”:
“Well, it’s pretty clear that Democrat leaders here in Congress and the President aren’t listening to the American people. Because the American people are saying, ‘stop!’ and they’re screaming at the top of their lungs. The President’s latest ploy as he’s dealing with Members trying to convince them to vote against their constituents and to vote with him, is to make the point that his presidency is on the line. Well, I’m sorry Mr. President, this isn’t about you. It’s not about the office you hold and it’s not about the Speaker. This is about the American people and the health care system that they want for our country. We’ve made clear that it’s time to scrap this bill and start over on commonsense reforms to make our current health care system better. But no, they are going to continue to ram, ram, ram this bill through the Congress. Every kind of scheme known to man to try and get it through the Congress without a vote.
“We’re going to have an opportunity for the Members today to vote on a straight up-or-down resolution, about requiring a straight up-or-down vote on this bill. It’ll be part of our Previous Question when we get a Rule bill up, and Members will have a chance to vote on that. But I can tell you this, that Republicans in the House and Senate have worked closely together or the last year, and we’re going to continue to work closely together to do everything that we can do to make sure that this bill never, ever, ever passes.”

Re Health and Education ‘Care’ Bill:
The cruelest trick of all will be after the Whites are removed and the Black Christians are either converted to Islam or realize that THEY were made the biggest suckers of all, falling for voting for someone just because he ‘appeared’ Black. This is, after all, “the largest muslim nation on earth.”
If it passes, consider 2010 the year the AH calendar decided to take over. This bill, with health and education ‘care’ thrown in, including its exemption provision for ‘religion’ S 1402 (g [Gregorian]) (1 [first historical year of recognizing the hijri calendar]), is both zakat and a poll tax for non-believers. Get it? Section 1402 (g)(1)
Maybe this is year 2 of the 1.
Ask your Congressperson who GETS that religious exemption and under which provisions members of such religions are ‘exempt’.

If they even have thought that far ahead, of course they will want another equally empty suit. Those guys are thick on the ground in D.C. Possibly, they will find one who can work without a teleprompter and who is just as cooperative and ignorant!

Dunno. But the language for Section 1402 (g) (1) has been in the bill for a looonnnngggg time, and it has no explanation. I happened on something a few days ago, and things clicked for me. With my background, there are some things I know well; this kind of stuff I wish I didn’t.

Yeah, I remember seeing that. The calendar might be needed to legally define Islamic holidays. I speculate that a Muslim provider employed by Uncle Sam might be excused for not providing services on Muslim holidays. I would expect a definition of the Jewish calendar to appear or be referenced too. It is not needed to define the Gregorian calendar because that is our standard reference calendar.
Might there be some way of exploiting this in order to influence him?
I had lunch with an old family friend the other day. She is 82, black, a Christian, registered Independent but usually votes Democratic.
She is FURIOUS with Obama, feels used ‘for his own purposes.’ She is ready to join the Tea Parties and toss the whole bunch out. I told her that before long she’d be listening to Rush and she’d love him; I sent her some back copies of his newsletters.
She cannot be the only one.
