Stop Obamacare
Self

Posted on 03/18/2010 12:52:59 PM PDT by BienHoa69-70 RVN

The only way I see for opponents to stop the Dem’s march into slavery is for them to engage in organized civil disobedience, as in the civil rights era. Engage in a sit- in of Congress: occupy the Speaker’s and the Senate President’s chairs and refuse to give them up. Bar the House and Senate doors and refuse to let the Dems in. Speak and refuse to give up the floor. Disable the computers and the electronic voting machinery. Bring all deliberations to a halt. Demonstrate that there are still patriots that will cry: Give me liberty or give me death (or at least arrest). If this idea has any merit in your view, pass it on to our representatives. I did. If Republicans lose this battle at least let it be said that they went down fighting."

A naitonal strike. Everyone go on strike tomorrow. No one go to work.

Take away taxes from them for one day. Show them that we will not work for a slave state. We will not work and have the fruits of our labor taken by the state.

Strike.

On the whole, this has been a good day for the American people. Two Dems flipped from yes to no and Obama has suspended his vacation. Regardless of the Dems vote of the Slaughter proposal (which doesn't necessarily mean anything), we've won the battle today. But, the war isn't over.

Keep on fighting!!!

I'm sure the people will chose to go down fighting. I'm not as sanguine about most Republicans, however.

Choose this day how you will serve; Will you serve unwillingly and at the bidding of others wearing the yoke of socialism or will you hold true to the course of our forefathers’ standing tall and serving freely? As for me I choose to SERVE THE REPUBLIC!

Mack: Shame what this town’s come to.
Charley Waite: You could do something about it.
Mack: What? We’re freighters. Ralph here’s a shopkeeper.
Charley Waite: You’re men, ain’t you?
Mack: I didn’t raise my boys just to see ‘em killed.
Charley Waite: Well you may not know this, but there’s things that gnaw at a man worse than dying.

http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/196/38128/

King: We understand that anything could happen with this speaker, but they seem to be committed to the 72 hour rule of file the bill and then 72 hours before they would bring it to a vote. So, that means they can’t vote before Sunday if they follow that rule and it looks like we’ll have a debate on Saturday, perhaps, and then again a vote on Sunday. So, we have some we have some applications out for a permit to have a huge press conference and we’re asking for that permit now. The timing is noon on Saturday and everybody that can come to this city makes a difference. They just cannot see the whites of our eyes and have the will to do this to the American people. They have to commit political suicide to vote for it, anyway, but still, they have to face their constituents the rest of their lives. I don’t think they can do that. That’s the one thing we can do to kill it at this point.

GLENN: Does it make a difference I’ve said people go to your local congressional district office and stand and sit down and refuse to leave the office, as well. Does it make a difference to have people locally, as well?

King: Yes, it does. It really makes a difference. And the district offices some of those offices like mine, it’s not going to make any difference. There’s nothing in the world that could cause me to vote for this bill but with every everybody, with a number of

GLENN: Hang on just a second. Steve? You’re telling me for sure there won’t be one single republican that votes for this?

King: That’s right. I am

GLENN: I would like to say to the Republican party, thank you. Okay.

King: Thank you for saying that, Glenn. I really appreciate that.

GLENN: You’re welcome. Thank you for doing that. Okay. So, now, if people just come, they’re not going to be kicked off, though, or I mean, you’re going to have the permits and everything to do it? I mean

King: We’ve just asked for the permits. So, I can’t say that we have them right now, but they have to also have a reasonable reason to refuse those permits. Furthermore, I expect we will get them and furthermore, people have a right to walk on the capital grounds. It’s American property. It’s a nationally owned property and when the offices are open, which I’m not sure about how that will actually be on Saturday, if we’re in session, he believe the offices will be open, but people can go into the congressional offices, the hallways are public property, they still have to go through the metal detector and they have to behave that respectful way, but they can still go into the offices, they can walk into the offices of the members of Congress that they want to influence. If they’re asked to leave, they actually should leave because the member controls the space in his office and should, but if this capital is full of people and we do that huge press conference, as we did before on the 5th of November, out on the west side of the capital, we had between 10 and 50,000 people poured in there that day and, of course, the /# 12 rally that took place, that was the greatest number of people I think since well, certainly since the presidential inauguration and that just makes so much difference, seeing the faces, stacking the people up here. If they can go to the district offices, I would say do that if you can’t get to Washington, but people can here’s the call.

Drop your plows and your hammers and get on a plane or a bus or drive your pickup truck. Come into Washington DC, fill this city up. They intend to vote on the sabbath, during lent, to take away the liberty that we have right from God.

Iowa Rep Steve King was on Beck this morning talking about getting a permit for a noon rally Saturday at the capitol. He seemed to think that the only hope was to completely overwhelm the place. I plan to go on down and pay some friendly visits to some representatives.

I do agree, if we're going to be treated as a socialist state, we should respond like a socialist state ... slowdown and strikes. I personally think it wouldn't take many people to organize driving 45 mph in a clump on the major routes of major cities to jam things up real good for commuters daily. Maybe a few weeks of that would get somebody’s attention. After all, strikers never worry about hurting the innocent bystander. I guess civil disobedience is becoming the next step.

From the depths of my sick, twisted mind, please let me add my idea.

Find where every congressman (or woman) or if you are in Barney Frank’s district, he counts as both, and initiate a boycott of every business that is owned by, or employs a relative of said congresscritter.(Includes parents, spouses, children, in-laws, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, etc....)

If they change employers, the boycott follows.

Boycott until the company goes out of business.

Include restaurants, hardware stores, especially legal offices. EVERY BUSINESS !!!!!

SHOW NO MERCY !!!

Dirty ? YES Mean? Once again, YES !!! Effective ? PERHAPS ??!!

PS This idea has been email to Beck and Levin.

First rule is to remember is that Obama may very well(or rather his puppetmasters)have a tactic in mind of exactly how we will react.

I’m not saying its an effective tactic but its something to consider, don’t react as you would, employ a more sideways approach, for all we know all this is predicted in a computer program.

Better to create millions of small trivial disturbances, things you can plead innocence to if caught. First off identify a VALID target, don’t go after the milkman when the garbage collector is to blame.

Don’t wait for an organized movement either, not when it WILL be hijacked and neutered. And beware TV gospels saying what they think as well, right now the only one I trust for the most part is Rush.

Make a family disturbance hooligan day for yourself, take the day off, go down the highway at 35mph with your hazrds on, Call a federal office and let it ring, and ring and ring.

And if it passes then look at the Obamacare-FREE states, make inquiries about relocation, at the least you WILL make someone worry, the loss of YOUR potential tax dollars will doom Obamacare...and Obama himself.

A few weeks ago, students in Oakland shut down an entire freeway by merely walking onto it to protest high fees (liberal irony).

But just imagine that happening on a national scale. The minute the Slaughterhouse rule is enacted, drive to a parking lot next to a freeway onramp, grab a sign that says “This is NOT America anymore!” and start walking onto the freeway shoulder. Traffic will eventually slow down, then stop. Walk down the middle of it with your sign held high.

The day the Earth stood still.

I’m not so sure it wouldn’t have an effect. Call these businesses tomorrow and Saturday, and let these people know what the consequences will be if their relative allows this bill to pass.

I bet they’ll call their relative ASAP and let them know !!

Even a 10% decrease in business in this fragile an economy, would hurt a lot !!

Rally your local talk radio host into doing street protest in front of your reps local offices. Try and get the local media to cover it.

This is from a 2007 contact list of congressional aides. Some might not be there any longer, but worth a try. The ones on the one post are senate aides, a few have bounced back, it’s worth the effort to clog up their email system along with the phones, and 1/3rd of these senators are up for re-election.

Mail must be inspected for anthrax.

Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.

At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!
