Former Cleveland Brown Brady Quinn holds his first news conference in Denver

DENVER -- Brady Quinn says his severely sprained left foot is no longer an issue.

Quinn was asked about his foot Thursday during his first news conference in Denver since his acquisition Sunday from the Cleveland Browns, and said: "The foot is good, I appreciate you asking."

I think they asked Brady the wrong "foot" question...

It should have been something like "How does it feel to have Mike Holmgren's foot in your ass??"

NFL *ping*

Brady Quinn is a good guy. I hope he does well. But, sometimes you have to start over. Holmgren seems to have a plan, and a direction. Holmgren is getting the benefit of the doubt here in Cleveland.

Heck, it’s the first time the organization has seemed organized since it came back in 1999.

As a Cowboys fan, I’ve reaped the benefits of the Quinn selection. It landed us Felix Jones and Anthony Spencer.

Quinn is a VERY good guy...he took part in a Youth Group in our community and was great relating to my kid and many others in our area. He’d try and make as many meetings as he could and bought the kids burgers and shakes after the meeting and hung out with them...very fine young man...
I hope he does well. If and when he does he’ll most likely do it with class and humility...

“Another over rated ND football player.”

Could be. Actually, he wasn’t rated all that highly. The Browns haven’t been very good at drafting. When the jumped up and got him, it was a shock to everyone.

Fortunately for Brady Quinn, he gets one more chance to either prove he’s got it, or go home with a bunch of money. Either way, Brady Quinn won.

I don’t mean to sound overly harsh on Quinn; a lot of his trouble was the fault of Cleveland’s Offense and coaching.

Holmgren is building himself a dynasty in Cleveland. That’s what Art Modell did with the browns way back when. Let’s not forget that Art brought us Monday Night Football.

But in the Modells never got the talent right, especially in the latter years in Cleveland when the younger Modell was making the calls on players. Cleveland suffered from many of it’s Quarterback problems over the years because they had so many holes in their offensive line. Brady was a great college QB, but in Cleveland he kept hearing feet coming along with the injuries.

Let’s see who gets drafted. With Jake Delahomme onboard, he is in a position to mentor a new hotshot, but it depends on who else they pick up and who ends up coaching...

Not his year, but next...

Funny, that's what was said about Joey Harrington.

I was never impressed with Quinn in college and doubt he'll make it as a starter in the NFL. Career backup, maybe. Or the CFL.

Quinn can’t throw the long ball

As a Browns fan who's watched all of Quinn's pro games, I can safely he say he can't throw the short ball, either.

I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt because of Cleveland's otherwise horrible offense, but the guy still misses way too many wide open receivers when there's little pressure coming.
