Taking an Oath
Vanity ^ | Self

Posted on 03/20/2010 3:02:58 PM PDT by The Watcher

Ok, I've started a site, one where I have publicly taken an oath to preserve and defend the Constitution. Against all threats, and even if it means personal loss or even targeting by those who would be our kings-by-right. Will you join me? We have a forum to discuss, and a blog to read and to publicly affirm an oath to the Constitution. I hope in the immediate future, to finalize the software so that the publicly taken oath is a database, searchable and displayable by name and location.

This is not the sites you listed. This is not an organization. This is a PUBLIC STATEMENT of what you will do. Nothing more and nothing less. It contains a forum to discuss things if you want.

Organizations hold rallies, need money and consume your time. And never would I discourage anyone from joining. This isn’t that.

They seem fine to me. But millions of us have taken no oath other than the Pledge of Allegiance, since we have never served in our military or government. This is simply a way to publicly state.. “If you’re going to start looking for patriots to be afraid of, WE ARE HERE AND READY FOR YOU!”

I took an oath to protect and defend when I joined the Navy. I feel I am still bound by it.

I think your blog is good.

I know someone who joined the Oath Keepers and he is not current or former military, LEO or fireman. They seem to have a category for civilian Oath Keeper and treat them alike as far as I can tell. They just vet people for a few weeks. I am sure they do not want want people sneaking in who are not conservative just to be agent provocateurs etc.

The natives are getting restless...

Billboard on I-70 in Missouri

I would imagine that it's strategically located between Columbia and St. Louis and/or Columbia and Kansas City ?

Looks like things are heating up across this country.

The 'sleeping giant' has started to awake!! LOOK OUT!!! The party on THE HILL is just about over!!!!!

I’d just point out, that many people have already taken an oath.

Every member of congress, hell, even the Post Office made me raise my right hand.

As a joke, when I was done with jury duty, I asked the Judge “Um.. don’t you have to swear us out, too? I might have to lie to my wife..” (rimshot) Jokes aside, technically millions of Americans don’t have to be sworn in to begin with if the premise is sound to begin with. Just call it or, provide another choice for a re-affirmation of the oath, etc.. &c &c..

I think all tea party types should make sure that their household has at least one pitchfork.

If 50 million pitchfolks flew out of the stores over the next six months and started showing up at rallies, it would be pretty funny.

How does one know, if they are a pitchfork guy, or a kerosene combustible torch guy? It’s a tough call.

I just barely remembered that I have one in the garage somewhere. Though just now researching the idea realize that what I have is a garden fork.

I'm thinking a proper pitchfork would have a loooong handle with just enough tines to securely hold an effigy head.

I’d be wary of that sort of thing.

Remember in the 60s, the story went something like “speed kills” and “ the guy who wants to know where the dynamite is, he’s FBI”.
