'Fusion Centers' Expand Criteria to Identify Militia Members [Flashback to 3-23-2009]

Do you like Ron Paul or oppose abortion? You may be a member of a militia, according to a new report by a government information collection agency. If you're an anti-abortion activist, or if you display political paraphernalia supporting a third-party candidate or a certain Republican member of Congress, if you possess subversive literature, you very well might be a member of a domestic paramilitary group.

That's according to "The Modern Militia Movement," a report by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC), a government collective that identifies the warning signs of potential domestic terrorists for law enforcement communities.

MIAC is one of 58 so-called "fusion centers" nationwide that were created by the Department of Homeland Security, in part, to collect local intelligence that authorities can use to combat terrorism and related criminal activities. More than $254 million from fiscal years 2004-2007 went to state and local governments to support the fusion centers, according to the DHS Web site.

Subversive literature? You mean like a copy of the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence?

Or do they mean Unintended Consequences, The Black Arrow, The Probability Broach, Going Rogue, Common Sense, The 5000 year leap, etc... ?

Either way, it's nice to know they care so much about my reading habits.

If you belong to FR, you already did sign up. Under this kind of “reasoning” anyone who reads FreeRepublic is an outright subversive.

I suggest you pack a small bag with an extra spoon to dig potatoes with, and prepare for your imminent departure for gulag...

"A government collective? "

It's purely progressive in nature, comrade.

That’s what I’m thinking.

The same reason every other major enemy we’ve had, decided that an invasion wasn’t wise.

Necessary to the security of a free State. What’s that got to do with America as Obama envisions her?

And still the vast majority of “sheeple” out there do not see the “government” as a part of a conspiracy called the “New World Order”.

How can it get more obvious than this?

The government (dominated by Democrats with civil service protection, union rights, fat retirements, months of vacation, yada, yada, yada) isn't even bothering to hide its Marxist roots anymore... The revolution is underway. They have been plotting this since the 19303. Tried it in the 1960s. And, according to Marx (capitalism will destroy itself from within) waited until the market correction to act. We are watching the revolution and we don't even understand what is happening. By the time its over, America will be enslaved by socialism and all of us who believe in individual freedom will be dead or shoveling in GULAGS...

Drop the language argument( the use of the word militia, right wing and all that) and take up the use of the word REVOLUTIONARY... the left loves REVOLUTIONARIES and can find no argument against being one. Only difference between the left’s and the right’s use of the word is that we are the new REVOLUTIONARIES for the CONSTITUTION and they against and we bear an obligation to defend it... I am Scottish and I_AM_REVOLUTION.
