Republican National Chairman Michael Steele and one of the organizers of Saturday's Tea Party rally strongly condemned the racial slurs that some black lawmakers alleged were yelled at them by some health care protesters as they headed for a procedural vote at Capitol Hill.
"I absolutely think it's isolated," Amy Kremer, the grassroots coordinator of the Tea Party Express, told Fox News on Sunday. "It's disgraceful and the people in this movement won't tolerate it because that's not what we're about."
Steele rejected the notion that the incident may make any association with the Tea Party Movement a danger.
"It's not a danger," Steele told NBC's "Meet the Press on Sunday." "It's certainly not a reflection of the movement or the Republican Party when you have idiots out there saying stupid things."
"As Leader Boehner said, that's reprehensible," he said, referring to House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio. "We don't support that."

These wimps are apologizing for something that did not happen. We have the video of the so-called “incident”. Show a tape with the N-word and then apologize. We already conceded that it actually happen when that is in dispute!
The only ones who support it are democrats who are
demogoguing middle America.
Has anyone conedemned the sexual slurs hurled at the American people by those public servants on the floor of the House?
Race trumps truth.
No proof so it didn’t happen. The only video proof that has been offered didn’t include any slurs they claim it did.
I guess no one nowadays heard the term “agent provocateur?”
****ing Steele. If the shoes were reversed I know the DNC guy would say something to the effect, Show Me The Tape.
You'd think they at least saw Les Mis and remembered Javert playing an agent provacteur.
What is wrong with these morons?
When will that grow a spine and stand up to this nonsense???
RE: “No proof so it didnt happen. The only video proof that has been offered didnt include any slurs they claim it did.”

When I heard this on TV I knew it was a lie — ‘our’ side doesn’t do such things. Where’s the proof? Audi??
If ANYTHING untoward WAS said, it most assuredly came from a ‘plant’ on THEIR side. Typical of their tricks.
Steele is an idiot. I will not contribute another penny to the RNC until he is gone, and maybe not even then if it does not clean up its act.
Steele is just a total jerk. And he had to come out with this nonsense on the most critical day yet for putting that baby-killing, economy-busting, totalitarian health bill through!
Steele, you are a jerk! An equal opportunity jerk!
Once again...these accusations are part of a plot to discredit and demoralize the opposition. It’s also meant to persuade the undecided to vote for this karp. The argument is that if the undecided vote against death care, they will be perceived as racist, something no politician wants. I’m reasonably sure it’s all made up...probably some propaganda concocted by Pelosi and/or the White House.
When for the love of God are conservatives going to stop apologizing. Who gives a damn whether someone called the guy the N word. If they did, it was accurate. The leadership should gave nutted up and told them to go to hell.
There are much worse things in life, in the world than being a racist. Oh right, but the liberals love sodomities, diddlers and junkies - all voting blocs for them.
Rule #1 of the anti-Salinsky rules should be “If they call you a racist, say ‘So what!’”
You can’t really prove a negative, so they have to prove their case and they can’t.
We were there when Lewis and his gang walked by. People were yelling “STOP THE BILL” so loud so it was impossible to hear anything else.
