That’s likely their Governor driving that action...
face it, if this bill increases costs for a state they have to go against it.
How I envy you!
I wish Texas would start secession proceedings....that would give inspiration to the other 49 states and send a clear message to Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the rest of the rats!
Maybe some more states will get some nads.
Of course Obama is not above 'payoffs', so...just sayin'.
Floria’s in too- we’ve got a constitutional amendment working it’s way through committees to be on the ballot in November- plus our AG is working with other states to OPT THE HELL OUT of federal insurance.
Idaho and Alaska
I don’t know. I’m not even sure about MA.
God Bless Texas!
This is good news. Abbott is a good AG.
Attorneys General in South Carolina and Florida Set to Sue on Health Care Reform.
Don’t forget your neighbors to the north, Oklahoma is also moving against Obamacare.
I’m almost 100% sure PA won’t be in on this. Unless the Dems get routed in Nov. :( I love this state.
yES...Schertz or Boerne......Small, but growing...conservative and Supporters of our Heroes!
Try Central Texas. There's still a 'Rat there in a conservative House district that needs defeating.
If Texas leads the way, quite a few other States may be inclined to follow.
Greg Abbott is the man. God i’m proud to be from Texas.
I have an Idea lets all move to a small town and grow it some...we will call it Constitution Texas!
Oklahoma’s Dem Attorney General is rumored on board but then he is running for Governor but it still won’t get him votes for Governor when we have Mary Fallin running who will be our next Governor.
God Bless Mr. Abbott and God Bless America!
Uncertain. No really it’s a nice place to be. Uncertain, Texas.
Yes to the AGs. It is also time to reverse Soros’ Secretary of State Project, which has been responsible for many of the recent election thefts (think Franken in MN and Brunner in OH is playing dirty right now).
This is VERY exciting news and we certainly need that right about now.
Could someone explain to me how this will work? I thought with the Supremacy Clause that federal law outstripped state law??
What does this mean?
Idaho - per new law they passed ... AG MUST file ...
Time for a PEACEFUL rebellion on the part of the States. Simply REFUSE to comply — and if necessary, seize Federal lands, withhold Federal fees and taxes, and remove Federal officials authority to act within the States.
A better idea is to kick out of the country parts of New England, New York City, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, San Fransisco, and Los Angeles. Give all but the California cities to Canada and make those two dependent republics.
I do not jest.
Good luck to all the lucky states who are going to fight this. I’m stuck here in Illinois...you know we are going to take whatever Obama gives us. (Why did we ever leave the more conservative south?)
I live in TX, and I say God Bless the Republic of Texas, however, Oklahoma has an excellent attitude and the two absolutely best Senators in the nation.
I think Florida’s in.
It’s all good as long as you stay away from the big cities. My family lives in TexOma...I’d move there in a minute.
Agreed. Best pair of senators by far.
Anywhere but the liberal enclave of Austin. Far West Texas is also to be avoided, unless you like driving 100+miles to the nearest Walmart or doctor’s office.
State Attorneys General:
Contrary to popular belief Texas can not secede from the Union.
We’re gonna try!!
If 38 state legislatures are concerned, that’s enough to ratify a Constitutional Amendment. Perhaps that is the correct course of action?
That’s just where this country is heading,,,
Everybody I talked to at a local gun show felt the same way!
I’ve never seen so many pissed off people in my life...
I was a delegate to the Harris County Senatorial Convention yesterday and AG Abbott addressed us via video and said he would sue the federal government if this thing passes.
It got a standing ovation from us.
I guess he meant it.
Any state can leave if the feds violate the Constitution that the states joined under. I’m a lifelong resident of Texas, and we’d just like to be first!!
Alpine or Marfa.
With Gov Kasich, Ohio will likely be on board. Then that moron Sherrod Brown can take a hike.
I hope and pray that somehow California can be involved in this. I know, this state sucks ass but maybe there is still hope..I don’t want Government Run Health Care..I will leave the damn state if that is what it takes
Under the US Constitution - powers not specifically granted to the Federal government by the states are “reserved” to the states “and the people”
There are various grounds as to why obama-care could be ruled by the Supreme Ct to be unconstitutional
One key element is the “commerce clause” that the feds use to ram down edicts - in this instance under obama0care they are attempting to require by law that every citizen must purchase a “private’ health insurance policy (ones that only they rule as “acceptable”)
Failure to buy such am “gov’t approved” policy under obama-care will result in the IRS imposing on individuals and families an annual fine of up to $2,250 or 2% of your income (which ever is greater)
Also under obama-care, insuring the “poor” is accomplished by forcing states to enroll millions more new people into state taxpayer funded “Medicaid” - adding 100s of millions in unfunded state mandates to taxpayers - again unconstitutional
Greg Abbott and other state AGs plan to sue the Federal Gov’t in Federal Ct - ultimately to be ruled on by the Supreme Ct as to the constitutionality of obamacare
Agreed. I’m proud of the Okies for electing such strong Senators. Now if other states would follow suit.
AMEN - I second that recommendation !
I don’t care about California beaches. I live near Lake Tahoe in the Sierras. Old gold miner/cowboy/timber country. I think West Texas would be a little too isolated for me. I like a four-season climate. Agricultural is fine. I love the South.
