RALEIGH, N.C. — Three conservative congressional Democrats joined all five North Carolina Republicans in voting against health care legislation that passed the U.S. House.

First-term lawmakers Heath Shuler and Larry Kissell joined Rep. Mike McIntyre in opposing the health care overhaul legislation. They were among 34 dissident Democrats who joined every Republican in opposition.

The Senate-passed bill cleared the House on a 219-212 vote. President Barack Obama plans to sign the measure into law.

All three dissident North Carolina Democrats also voted against a second measure clearing up details of the of the first.

That legislation cleared the House on a 220-211 vote and was sent to the Senate, where Democratic leaders say they have the votes needed to pass it quickly.

I’m sure they received dispensation from Nancy Pelosi before taking such a “principled” stand.

They can go to Hell with the rest of them.

all of these supposed “conservative” Dems need to be thrown out of office. They voted for Pelosi as speaking and therefore allowed this vote to take place whether they voted No or Yes on the actual bill itself. They are as guilty as the libs who crafted it

Probably because Pelosi decided to let them vote “no”. I’m sure if she needed their votes, she would have had them. Too bad Etheridge couldn’t care less about what his constituents want...

Stupak gave them cover to vote against the bill that is why they voted for this bill.

This was just a trick to get them reelected.

All three voted for Nancy as house leader. This was not a principled stand except MAYBE MCIntyre. Maybe.

He is a lib tard. He cares nothing of his constituents. He is a faux Christian. Wolf in sheeps clothing if there ever was.

I agree. If they’re Democrats, they’re part of the criminal gang.

I think you’re correct. They would leave the Democrat party otherwise.

I say get rid of as many Democrats as we can regardless of how they voted now. A conservative Democrat is the same as a liberal Republican. They all need to go.

They would have voted socialist if it was needed. There are no non-leftist dems. A vote for any dem is simply a vote for a leftist ideologue.

Three conservative congressional Democrats joined were allowed to join all five North Carolina Republicans in voting against health care legislation because their votes were not needed.

Could recall elections be held immediately without waiting until November? I just read that 75% of the American people no longer trust Congress.

LOL! They were allowed to vote no, if Nancy needed a yes from them they would have said yes ma’am, hopped right to it, or should I say slithered, and done the dirty deed. No sitting democrat in the house and senate has ANY ethical or moral standards whatsoever, they are all in for socialism by any means necessary.
