COLUMBUS President Barack Obama is expected to sign sweeping changes in the American health-care system on Tuesday, but a group of Ohioans Monday began the process of limiting its impact in this state. In a modern-day equivalent of declaring states' rights, the Ohio Liberty Council and the conservative Tea Party movement have launched an effort to amend the Ohio Constitution to declare that no law can force and individual, employer, or health-care provider in the state to participate in the national reforms. It would also prohibit anyone who refuses to participate, including those required to buy or provide insurance, from being punished for non-compliance.

Idaho first to sign law against health care reform
Kansas one of 37 states challenging federal health care reform (STOPPING THE COMMUNIST TAKEOVER!)
I was also told this is the first phase and there will have to be a second petition sometime soon. I can get hundreds on my own if they give me notice.
It appears the stars on the flag actually still mean something.
So glad to see this. Ohio’s economy will be totally demolished under this bill if nothing is done to stop it.
Thanks for posting this - I had no idea this was underway.
How do I get involved?
let me know what I can do, I am in northwest Ohio, 30 miles east of Toledo.
Sounds great, could you forward me information on how to get involved in this or post it here?
Great news for this buckeye!
The hell with that,we need to organize to kick the bastards out.Do you realize only one rat from Ohio didn`t sign that POS Obama`s commie-care?He only did that because they allowed him to since they had the needed number of traitors. I absolutely refuse to sign a waste of time like another petition. If you want to fight back then a couple of us on the Ohio board are planning to recruit others for a volunteering effort to help conservative candidates. Will you join the effort?
Thanks!
Same question here. HOW DO I GET INVOLVED??
Our folks dropped off all our petitions in West Chester yesterday, below is the e-mail I received from the head of our Tea Party group in Middletown, I think you'll get the idea of what's coming.
Patriots:
It has been an exhausting weekend, but an encouraging one in spite of the malice from Washington. So many people have woken or are waking up. In regards to the signature drive, we reached the drop off point and saw people bringing in petitions with 800, 600,
and 300 signatures (and this drive started Friday night !). There should be enough valid signatures to move this thing forward. Unfortunately, it was not explained to me that this is but the first step. Apparently, the signatures that we were required to submit today were to but qualify us to move forward. To actually get the thing on the ballot it will require many more signatures than today's required 2000.
In other words, if we have 2000 valid signatures, we will have to engage in a larger drive for signatures. The good news is that we will have much more lead time. However, it was advised that once these have been certified, that we begin immediately again.
When the next petition comes out from our Tea Party I will post it or go to the Ohio ping list and send it to anyone who want to gather signitures. How you turn them in is a question we'll deal with when we get there.
Youngstown here...more details please! Timmy Ryan is a disgrace. He needs to remember he was just an admin to Traficant...now he walks around with his Burberry scarf with his nose in the air.
Ohio Ping!
We need to start pushing the

to protect the citizens of Ohio from the overreaching Federal government.
