First off, this thread is directed toward people that are already on Facebook or are interested in joining--not for people that dislike it for whatever reason.
I just followed an acquaintance's "like" on their Facebook page to the fan page of "Yes We Can" on Facebook. The thread for passage of the bill had almost 100,000 "likes" plus there are well over 7 million fans of this page.
As well as FreeRepublic, I've been staying updated with current events through Facebook. There are many conservative fan pages and groups to join.
Some prominent pages/groups *Being Conservative *Capitalism *Conservative *The Heritage Foundation *Kill the Bill *I bet we can find 1,000,000+ people who disapprove of the Health Care Bill *Positively Republican! *Tea Party Patriots
The pages/groups that may interest conservatives are endless. Reagan pages, current politician pages, pundit pages, talk show host pages, 2nd amendment pages, Founding Fathers pages, think tank pages, military pages, local groups. Just type in your favourite subject into search and you are bound to find a group/page and others with the same interest.
It's a good way to show support, get information, and spread the word among friends.
Let's swell our numbers too and spread the word to other like minded individuals and even some that are not like minded.
I belong to well over 400 fan pages plus 60+ groups of my various likes (mostly) and some dislikes. I'm sure I'm missing some great ones, so if someone else has some to recommend, share it with the rest of us.
Here are a few of my favorite pages in Facebook, name there is TunerTools
Don’t forget all the Tea Party groups.
You’ve got some I’ve missed. Thanks!
Feel free to ‘friend’ me as well.
Tomorrow I will be launching a new website listing States that have indicated they are going to resist this government takeover of healthcare. I’ll be needing some assistance from FReepers from each state helping me keep up with the States AG actions as well as legislative actions.
Yes, me too iceskater.
There are plenty of new fan ( /sarc ) pages for Bart Stupak. He’s become quite popular over the weekend.
I’m a member of “I hate when I wake up in the morning and Barack Obama is president”.
Plus his potential? opponent is getting quite the following :)
We need to boost the Free Republic fan site also.
I’m a Class of ‘98 FReeper making a first time run for PA State Legislature - here’s my Facebook group:
I am a member of “Can this goat get more fans than Barack Obama”
goodness there are so many I'm a fan of -
Missouri Sovereignty Project
Andrew Breitbart- King of the New Media
Sarah Palin Supporters for JD Hayworth
Urging Attorneys General to Sue to Stop ObamaCare
Send Bill Ayers to Guantanamo (with his closest friends)
there are so many and my list grows daily. A tip for newbies to facebook, become a fan of any product or store you shop at regularly. There are many facebook only deals/coupons.
That is great! Best wishes for much success in November!
That is funny :)
Cool! Don’t know if you already started a thread for it, but it can hurt to get it some extra publicity.
Join “I Will Not Comply” on FB.
Thanks - first there’s the little matter of a hotly contested R primary in May - then, Lord willing, on to November!
There’s another one called “Nobama”
oops, forgot about the primary. Good luck in May.
I use the “hide” option on all the irritating junk.
Can’t believe, on FR, that this guy doesn’t have more traction:
Honestly, I love Rush, but this guy is much more cutting edge on XM...he is what Rush USED to be.
What's the name in Facebook? or just send me a friend request, my FB page is named TunerTools
The “I bet we can find a 1,000,000 people that dislike the HC bill has reached close to 500,000 the first day.
After the last major privacy changes on Facebook - where they made a lot of things public! - I removed all of my fan pages. Fan pages are public with no method of hiding them. Since I have been looking for a new job, I felt it best not to advertise my personal beliefs, preferences, politics etc. Which is unfortunate, because I do like to show my support for various causes.
Wise choice in this day and age.
You might want to consider Alan D Campbell’s Tax Savings Strategies group. Anyone may join. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/group.php?gid=104697643422
I definitely understand that. I haven’t figured out a way to hide them in search, and that is unfortunate because someone could use something against you.
Thanks, I’ll look that up.
I hope people are remembering that big brother is watching and so are employers, etc. It’s easy to get carried away - our freedoms are in so much jeopardy, so monitor your thoughts before you type them out for anyone to see. I’m not saying don’t share them, just be smart about your comments. Always read through what you wrote before you click the post button. And of course contributions are key for November elections. It’s easy to type your complaints - let’s put our money where our mouths are and send in donations (even if its just $5.00) to those running AGAINST the “YES” traitors in washington!
Just became a fan. :)
For laughs there is:
I hate it when I wake up in the morning and Barack Obama is President
The Stupid Things Only A Liberal Would Say
Unfortunately my AG is Moonbeam Brown, who is running for Governor... I am so lucky...
I did. FB has a lot of viruses so be careful. I had two bad ones this week and it cost me over $100 to fix.
I took off my personal data.
I bet I can find 100,000 Catholics Against Kucinich:
