Skip to comments. The shocking truth about a fundamental right being denied to 55% of citizens

There is a fundamental right being denied 55% of all Americans. This denial costs over 16,000 lives per year, meaning more than 44 of our fellow Americans will die every day that we delay. What should be done in light of these shocking figures?
Using the example set by President Obama and the Congressional Democrats, there is only one answer: Universal Gun Care for every American. Surely a right outlined in the Bill of Rights (2d Amendment) is just as important as a right NOT found the Constitution (Health Care).
Bonus, it should be easier to implement. After all, gun dealers and manufacturers are ready and willing to help solve the problem. Unlike the evil insurance companies, gun dealers don't want to take your weapon away from you when you most need it. Nor will they deny selling you a weapon simply because you haven't purchased one in the past (i.e. a pre-existing condition).
• Conventional estimates state that 45% of all US households own a firearm. This leaves at least 55% of all Americans "uncovered."
• In 2008 there were 16,272 murders in the USA. How many of those could have been prevented if the victims had been able to protect themselves?
My proposal is a modest one:
• Mandate for every American to purchase a gun or be provided one by their employer (children under the age of 26 can share a weapon with their parents)
• Tax credits to offset the cost of purchase (for those making less than $250,000 per year and everyone in Nebraska)
• For those that can't afford it, a grant or subsidy to purchase a weapon (union members can get two weapons subsidized before 2018)
• Funding for a series of community based gun dealers/clinics and firing ranges (especially in under-served urban and rural areas)
• Monthly ammunition benefit so that no one has to choose between feeding their kids, paying the rent, or buying a box of .38 special cartridges

M Allen Fritsch is an entrepreneur and business owner. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and a former Army officer. His household is one of the 45%.
Veterans get two handguns and one assault rifle, with monthly ammo vouchers!
LOL I feel like this is the first time I have smiled in the past 3 days!!
Works for me.
Now thats an entitlement I could get behind.
The One Pre-Existing Condition Getting a Cure Forget bipartisanship.
Why Democrats Are Doomed if ObamaCare Passes Despite Dick Morris' history, his reasoning seems solid here.
Some noteworthy articles about politics, foreign or military affairs, IMHO, FReepmail me if you want on or off my list.
Thanks for the ping!
Right ON, brother!
SOCIAL JUSTICE NOW!/s
Someone else had the same thought, different take:
“Do you think we might be able to get these clowns in Washington to pass a gold reform bill that would mandate under the penalty of fine, that every citizen in the US be required to purchase a one ounce gold coin? That would do wonders for the mining sector and create lots of jobs. Why not after all, we have now reached a new era in which the Feds can mandate that a private citizen purchase a private product (insurance) so what is to prevent us from lobbying for the passage of the Gold Reform Bill? Lets wave the flag and pitch the bill as good for life, liberty and pursuit of happiness of all the citizenry, bring in some sob stories, concoct some studies that show how many mining sector jobs it will create and that should do the trick.”

Makes about as much sense. Even better, gets hard currency into the average Americans hands. Maybe 5 oz of silver should be required as well.
Can I get the government to pay a gunsmith to fix it, even though it's a pre-existing condition?
Nope, you should be able to get insurance the day the gun locks up—pre-existing condition? No worries!
And all those old M16s in DOD inventory could be sold thru the CMP to help offset the cost of the program.
lol Lets talk about the even more horrific fundamental right of all Americans being denied, the right to be securely protected in a jail cell from all the evil harms all the rest of the world poses to you!
I mean if you can see the benefit of having someone else manage your health-care cost risks, why not have someone else manage all the rest of your risks?
O my god we have to get every American his own jail cell where he can be securely locked away from making terrible mistakes from doing things like “incorrectly” interacting with other people or choosing his own bed times!
In fact cause our brave leader is so important we need to see to it that his right to such security is protected first and foremost!
Who knows what could happen to him if he were exposed to the horrible risked of the world and himself outside of that safe, controlled, and secure jail cell!
The question is...can we write this into a 2,700-plus page bill and give twelve senators special weapons benefits (extras for senior citizens, extras for high school kids, etc)?
Sounds like a plan...I think I’d like a P226 please.
Motion to add my amendment that would force the subjects of Massachusetts to be re-educated on the events that led to the battles of Lexington and Concord.
It is painful to visit Minuteman National Park in Concord and see the liberal pukes who would deny us the same rights that were put to the proper use some 235 years ago.
And I DO MEAN 'guns -plural', since there's no limit on how many abortions a 'po woman can have on my dime there should be NO LIMIT on how many gns the goobermint buys me.
But I'm not greedy, I only want about six more. Oops make that and 'even seven'.
(Gobbermint publik skuul ya know)
That would be the 'Boston Massacre'.
the Colonists American blood was shed by Redcoats)
But to those in Taxachusetts, the 'Boston Massacre' prolly means John Kerry losing the election to that 'dummy', Dubya.
Try different ammo.
If you're now using Hollow Points try FMJ 'Ball Ammo'. Or switch brands and try those. Or even a different type of HP from the same mfg. Different powder loads can make a gun jam too
This is why PDs were leary of going to semi-autos. Lots of jamming issues in the 'olden days' (1980's).
.38 caliber?? Are you kidding me?? Who in their right mind would settle for just a .38??
Here in Southwest Washington, the humidity is simply too high for a mere .38 caliber bullet to properly penetrate the air without losing so much velocity as to make it ineffective on any target.
I demand a Special .45 Caliber ACP subsidy for Washington State!!
No Justice, No Peace! No Justice, No Peace!
Wow, that’s great. No American should have to worry about their gun jamming!
universal gun health now.

Hum, don't think those numbers would change. The only difference is the criminal would be the dead one.
Did anyone notice that those thieves are going to take our Social Security to help pay for this ugly monster?
I just watched one video of Paul Ryan explaining the cost factor.
PINGING a few FRiends.
Oops! Better clarify
Check post #8. Check out first link. Then google Paul Ryan. I found video where shows a chart explaining where the money is (supposedly) coming from.
But also wanted you call to see this great tongue-in-cheek article. we need a laugh.
Thanks. I couldn’t figure out why you were saying that in the first ping.
I can get behind this.
It’s all about the redistribution of your wealth, beachn4fun.
When you say ‘our’ Social Security, you’re not thinking that there will actually be any SS for you when you retire, right?
This is a huge, huge socialist program with politics, not money, now running health care in America. So, stand in line - take a number - the doctor will be with you by this time next year or take these pain pills, go home and relax until the daylight fails.
Well, just as the numbers of jobs being lost are going down because there are fewer jobs that can still be cut, and/or fewer people who are dead weight to their respective companies, the number of crimes will go down as the pool of criminals shrinks and/or those who are left become more wise regarding the possible consequences of their actions.
Oh, I don’t expect there to be any SS for me when I retire. I’m doing other savings for that. I just want word to get around to those who think there will be. Liberals believe this, you know? PLUS, the younger generation needs to see this and understand why it’s critical to get out of debt and start saving as soon as possible for that retirement.
I read an article on how much do you need in retirement - my generation will need at least $2-$3 million to live comfortably. Those younger than me, will need $3M or better.
Actually, young people generally don’t care and by the time they figure out what has happened, is happening now, it will be too late.
As for retirement, your stated millions would be nice to have, but not necessary to have. It’s all about having a house, condo, etc to live in that paid off or nearly paid off - something for which a reverse mortgage can be secured if necessary and sufficient funds to pay for secondary health insurance coverage beyond what Medicare will end up covering - along with funds for living expenses beyond what SS will bring in. I, for one, don’t believe that SS will go BK - it’s not something that is politically in the cards for any party to consider - so general fund money will be used to prevent that from happening.
The key to retirement is not living within your means throughout life, in other words living well below your means - savings and investing - will result in at least the million that is needed and a life style in retirement that will continue to be sustainable. It’s not rocket science, it’s just being conservative.
The problem right now is that Obama will be taking more and more of your gross pay to pay for his redistribution of wealth programs, more or less putting people indirectly on your personal payroll - people that you don’t even know, people that are either lazy, crazy or stupid or possible all the above. Frankly, my dear, you can’t afford it.
Wait till their collage cost go thou the roof cause all the money is diverted to pay for this shit, we simply have to remind them why.
We the young people have been screwed over by this more then any other group.
Actually, ObamaCare and now the pending ‘assistance’ covering illegal immigrants, cap and tax, etc. will doom the next generation in ways that they can’t even imagine. In the end, it’s all about jobs to pay for all this crap and younger people will have a rude awakening when they pursue employment after college and worse then that, if they pursue employment after high school. It seems like everyone will end up equally poor either because they are poor or they are taxed into that bracket.
Obama is transforming America - along the lines as he promised prior to being elected, One Big Ass Mistake, America.
>> In 2008 there were 16,272 murders in the USA. How many of those could have been prevented if the victims had been able to protect themselves?
>Hum, don’t think those numbers would change. The only difference is the criminal would be the dead one.
Incorrect. A killing in self-defense is NOT murder.
>Actually, ObamaCare and now the pending assistance covering illegal immigrants, cap and tax, etc. will doom the next generation in ways that they cant even imagine.
I think that, quite possibly, before the next generation IS “grown-up” there WILL be another civil war. And, I think it would be wholly justified: “whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it.”
I’m thinking that there also will be some sort of drastic action taken by a majority of people to bring America back from the brink of being a Socialist country. It’s the younger generation that will be primarily impacted by the Obama agenda - redistribution of wealth, possibly even the available jobs (to immigrants and other minority) is what is happening now - there is no way that those who will be coming into the work force will have the same opportunities as the ‘adult’ and older generation have experienced, especially those in the blue collar sector. If Obama puts 11 million Mexicans on a quick path to citizenship, kiss America goodbye.
I wonder how many of those 30-06 BAR’s they’ve got left?
