Mark Levin had him on his radio show yesterday. Dr. Benishek said the area is not liberal as so many have claimed but very conservative.

I’m sure they are also embarrassed by all the negative attention Stupak has brought to them - nobody likes to be made a fool of. I’m sure many people who may have cast a vote for Stupak two years ago feel like fools now.

He has to get better at public speaking - it was what he said but how he said it that got to me. On the other hand, he’s been in that community and successfully for decades - he may be speaking exactly how his constituents do and we’re judging him wrongly.

That he does not sound like a ready-made DC politico may indeed help his campaign.

Benishek is not a serious candidate yet. Trying to do it on the cheap. No campaign manager.

Just a guy with a Facebook page.

Yesterday's article, posted here said that Dr. Benishek had been a surgeon all of his life. At least this article didn't make that mistake.

Dr. Dan looks like a person the Tea Party should back 100%. He should get the Pro-Life people as well. Support this newcomer to the political arena.

I am a woman that has had an abortion and knows the toll it takes on the heart and mind not to mention the many, many years of guilt felt for the life it has taken. I promised myself to try to change policy with my vote, so this tragic procedure would stop. Abortions are selfish on behalf of the mother, and I was selfish and so was Mr. Stupak. My decision was the loss of one life, Mr. Stupak’s decision will be the loss of many lives. The voice of the unborn was heard from Congressman Neugebauer. I believe this man should be rewarded not punished for his principles. I have called his office and thanked him for what he said and am making a donation to his campaign. I speak from experience on the tragedy of abortion, Mr. Stupak speaks and acts from a heartless soul.

May God place blessings on you ma’am. Somethings will weigh heavy on your heart, but Jesus is always waiting with his “safety met” of forgiveness.
