The Obama administration announced on Tuesday it has reserved 3,000 free tickets to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll for students in D.C.-area public and charter schools, but not for children who attend private or parochial schools.(snip)
The 3,000 reserved tickets will be distributed to students at 11 public schools in D.C. and a few others in Virginia and Maryland. Children at private or parochial schools in the Washington metropolitan area may attend the April 5 event, but only if they are among the people who registered for an online lottery system, by which the remaining free tickets -- an estimated 27,000 -- will be distributed.

I can’t fathom any Muslim child being allowed to attend the Easter Egg Roll affair nor, as the parent of a child in the Christian education system, would I, under the present leadership, want my child to participate. I don’t want to comment any further on why that would be.
As a kid, we dyed eggs together, as a family. I continued that with my own child (until he was 20, per his request). The eggs were hidden (some easy, some hard to find) and always lead to a beautiful basket on the dining room table. I still have memories of waking on Easter morning with a beautifully colored egg nestled in “grass” on the table beside my bed. It would lead me through the set number I needed to find and then to the dining room table.
My family doesn’t need to traipse around a park or the White House lawn to pick up plastic eggs, we just filled our own homes with the joy of Easter, the love of family and controlled the sugar high as we saw fit. ;-) Christians should boycott the WH event and let the little heathens pick up all the commercially hyped crap the government is handing out.
Christians in the West consider Easter (called Pasqau everywhere else) to be about the Resurrection of Christ. Obama, wants it to be about him. Children in Parochial schools know the truth.

Why is he celebrating Easter? And if you are going to have an EASTER egg hunt and pass out free tickets, the FIRST kids to get those tickets are kids in Catholic and Christian schools. The public schools are not permitted to participate in any Christian holiday so therefore they should receive NO tickets. Isn’t their participation in an EASTER celebration akin to acknowledging the existence of Christ and the Resurrection?
