President Obama's goal of digitizing all medical records by 2014 could be realized by his new health care law, which requires research and reporting through electronic health care records a move that raises concerns among privacy advocates about government access to Americans' medical history.
President Obama's goal of digitizing all medical records by 2014 could be realized by his new health care law, which requires research and reporting through electronic health care records.
But privacy advocates fear that the speed at which the government is moving to digitize records will increase the risk of medical identity theft, and they are concerned about what the government will do once it has access to Americans' medical history.

May? I say WILL.
A far greater danger is exposing the records to “stupid” bureaucraps.
Mindless brain dead people who know nothing past what is on their computer screen.
Hackers do it for fun or profit, bureacraps do it to get-off on power.
Yep. A connection to an insider and a $100 bill will get you anyone’s medical records you want. Probably e-mailed to you in minutes.
Think Joe the Plumber with some goonyan employee with access to your medical records instead of tax records.
But speaking of records, it is past time for RecordsGate. Obozo cannot hide his forever, surely someone powerful enough is already POed enough at him to do it now.
Ofcourse it will. Can’t wait to see Celebrity, politician and sundry neferious types Med Records. /s
The Chinese will have a field day......
Great! I want to see the medical records of that crack head homo in the WH.
I am not afraid of HACKERS getting my medical information.
I am afraid of the GOVERNMENT getting it.
The Marxist-in-chief is exempt from this wonderful health care bill they passed. His records won’t be available.
Sorry, but His Royal Transparentness exempted himself from this wonderful plan imposed on the rest of us peons.
