“until it was restored in the 1970s after a campaign which saw nine donors pay $US27,777 to “adopt” one letter each.”
Alice Cooper paid for an O in honor of his good friend, Groucho Marx.
I bet this is freaking him out.

Damn, I thought the article meant Hollywood itself. I would of been all for it.

Hehe, you raise a good point here. Since I am in Holland, I see it from a distance. Hollywood may be a haven for the loony left; but it also gave us the wondrous works of John Ford. Or Laurel&Hardy. Or Frank Capra. Or Hitchcock. Or Preston Sturges. Or Clint Eastwood. Or Charlton Heston.
...erm... I notice that I am talking largely of the past here.

Considering the filth that Hollywood now represents,
they should demolish the sign and the whole damn town.
Like everything good in America, it is now all “Gone With the Wind”.

great idea build homes on a hill then we can watch them slide down when it rains or burn when there’s a fire.

You could as well have made the first ‘O’ into an ‘E’...

Now, is there still a job opening for bulldozer operator on that project?
I’d like to apply.
