Meet New Hampshire Democratic State Rep. Nick Levasseur.

Here he is with his pal, Barack Obama.
And, via Red Hampshire, here is his latest Facebook entry:

"Anime is a prime example of why two nukes just wasnt enough.
Or in other words, he like to kill more Japanese citizens because he doesnt like their cartoons.
Dont expect this to get much play in the state-run media. It doesnt fit with their propaganda.
NH ping! FReepmail me if you want on or off this list.
That’s something that ought to go on some anime sites I know of....
Vile racist pig.
“Or in other words, he like to kill more Japanese citizens because he doesnt like their cartoons. “
IMPOSSIBLE!!! It’s an utter impossibility that someone with a “D” beside their name can be racist. You are racist for even insinuating this!!
Actually “Bomb Japan Again” was Bill the Cats’ economic plan when he ran for president in Bloom County.
sshhh...it’s okay. slurs and hatred are okay as long as you’re “progressively liberally for-the-good-of ‘ordinary citizens’- Democrat.”
The more disturbing thing here is that a United States Congressman is a fanboy geek with strong opinions about Anime.
Sorry, but this sounds like humor to me. Maybe he has kids hooked on Pokemon or Naruto?
Or maybe he got a look at the really nasty stuff...
State rep, but still.
If anyone wants to check it out you get

“Japanese” is not a race. Let’s be precise, this guy is an ethnocentrist or a prejudiced bigot.
He apparently never learned this lesson in 2008 when he "joked" about killing Reagan Republicans on his MySpace profile:
My InterestsMedicine, biology, mathematics, anything that doesn't involve Organic Chemistry, cars that don't begin with "Ford" and end with "Aspire", HBO series, Bill Mahar, politics, the hunting of neo-conservative Reaganites (a shooting sport brought to you by the republican party in more ways than one!), sleeping (it is sad when necessary life takes become occational hobbies).
Surely it is a racial subset or subgroup, no? And are the Japanese as a people not known for their particular racial pride? More likely a caucasian would jump to the conclusion that Japanese, Chinese, Koreans, etc.. are all racially identical.
Look! Another outstandingly “edgy” and “witty” lefty on facebook!
Okay, he’s an liberal, anti-gun prick with a warped sense of humor. It is still not crime or a barrier to election. It might actually be a CV enhancer for a Democrat...
The real problem are ignorant loons who vote for clowns like this.
Actually, he’s not a Congressman—state Rep. Which, in NH, given the fact we’ve got 400 of them, means that in his town in November 2008, he was the 9th caller.
Nope—he just graduated from UNH. He’s in his early 20’s.
Like everything else from democrats, he’s wrong about this too. “Ghost In The Shell” is a great cartoon. Same with “Cowboy Beebop”. The soundtrack alone is reason enough to listen to “Cowboy Beebop”, especially if you’re a fan of Jazz.
The Germans were once known for their “racial pride”—should they have been considered a separate “race”? Surely not.
I think the Japanese own feeling of superiority over others is akin to, say, the English feeling superior over the Italians—scientists would not consider the English to be a different race than the Italians.
But the Japanese are physically different from other Asians. It’s not just a made up, cultural distinction.
We always manage to have at least one of those little creeps in each legislature. I remember when I was at UNH, we had one named Murphy from Dover. He took himself way too seriously.
Well, at least we pay them about what they're worth, unlike most states.
It’s amazing how much they can get compensated for mileage, though.
Did he get himself one of those big honkin' State Rep badges, with the big State Seal on it, from Rep. Marple?
Reporting it to the Japanese ministry of foreign affairs. Then to the Japanese embassy in D.C. They will make quite a stink about it. It will go viral in the Japanese papers. I am sure it will take off a life of its own after that, including the photo of the perp with Obama.
Any idea which NH town this genius represents?
Maybe THAT will bring this story a little attention in the New Hampshire media...
I want to say ManchVegas, but he is a recent UNH grad.
Oh, it made WMUR. ONCE. For about 30 seconds.
