A diner was left fuming after a KFC restaurant took his favourite meal off the menu because it breached their new halal regulations.
Alan Phillips was told he would have to travel five miles to another branch if he wanted the Big Daddy, a chicken burger, topped with bacon, cheese and salad.
The branch, in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, is one of 86 KFC restaurants which is running trials of a scheme where they sell nothing other than halal meat.
The company has taken the burger off the menu because Islamic dietary law forbids Muslims to eat anything which has been prepared on the same premises as pork, which is itself strictly forbidden.

86 restaurants? They’re really overrun. Amazing that we’ve had Jews around us forever, but I don’t recall entire chains changing up for them. Any Saudi link to KFC? If so, maybe I’ll get my chicken elsewhere.

I don’t know about now, but years ago when I worked at KFC (in high school, so it’s been a LOOOOOONG time ago) we made excellent burgers. They were much better than the other fast food burgers.

I recently ate at a halal Thai restaurant, and the food really sucked. I should have asked them for a Hebrew National hot dog.
Just come back with your seeing eye hog and see how they react to that. lol

Heck just a regular seeing eye dog will cause them to lose a screw in their heads.
This happens in my neighborhood. I start bringing in a pocket full of bacon bits. Who knows, my pocket might have a little hole in the corner.
