Just looked at some summaries and it seems that retirees and unemployed MAY sign on.
If retired sign on, it is going to come out of SS benefits, near as I can tell.
I suspect we will be inundated with policies designed under this act as soon as the zero signs it.
OMG they are bringing back poor farms.
I guess it’s lucky they didn’t make “extended care” mandatory...yet.
I have begun to inform my employees of such. They stand to lose another $200-$400 per month in income to the feds on top of the increase in the Medicare tax of .09%. Now I can tell them they will have long term care, but I would lie if I told them that. They are paying for someone else’s longterm care because I can guarantee you full time care is over $5000 per month and what you pay into the system will never get back to you like that. Besides, the new health care law CUTS and CUTS and CUTS and CUTS till it GUTS long term care facilities and hospitals. GUTS care of your granny until you have to take care of her in your home and watch her die there.
