If I thought Romney could actually win I’d probably have some pragmatic sympatico for the IDEA of him if not him for real. But the MSM clearly sees Romney as easy to beat. Of all his sins, being unelectible might not be the greatest but it’s the final one, if ya catch my drift.

No, our Presidential candidate MUST be firmly grounded in the founding principles. We will not win, otherwise.

Here’s a fourth thing: There will NEVER be a President Romney.

I agree with that but feedback that I’m getting says that Romney is expected to be the GOP nominee.

No, McCain is proof that the Lesser-of-Two-Evils argument is over, hopefully forever. As long as the GOP runs phony RINO liberals, it is going to keep losing to REAL liberals. If you want to win against liberals, you have to be different from them.

A President MITT Romney took great pride in never exercising his right to reverse a judicial error -- "Tookey" Amirault, for whom the evidence is strong that he and his family were wrongly convicted in the child-abuse witchhunt of the 1980s. (Ref: Wall Street Journal)

I met his father George once; a good man and manager, if a bit liberal. I have worked for and with Mormons; our differences lie outside the work sector and I'd work for another Mormon-owned company in a flash -- not only would we be likely to succeed, but we'd be well treated.

But Mitt? Forget it. Total self-important jerk, you want a right-wing Obama fuehrer, the name you seek is Mitt.

George Romney: Aye
Mitt Romney: NAY!

Just like Rudy was a shoe in nominee on our side in 08 or Hillary was a given for the Dems?

That sucks because I really don’t like the idea of Obama getting a second term.

I will not vote for Romney.

I will not vote for ANY RINO.

So, if the GOP wants me to not sit out this next election, they better put a true conservative on the ballot.

I have swallowed the bile, held my nose and for all but three times in my voting career voted for someone who was the least objectionable. I WILL NOT DO THAT AGAIN. I will only vote for someone I can support.

Don’t give me that crap about “if you sit out the election ... yada, yada, yada,”. I have done it that way and look where it has gotten us. That line will not work on me again.

I WILL NOT VOTE FOR ANYONE BUT A CONSERVATIVE. I hope the GOP is listening.

FTA: A President Romney would make no apologies

I agree. A President Romney would never apologize because President Romney would categorically deny having done or said whatever he was it was he was supposed to have done or said.

And if someone eventually came up with a video tape of him saying or doing it in spite of his denials... well who are you gonna believe? Romney or your lyin' eyes?

I wouldn't believe Mitt Romney if his tongue and hair came notarized.

It's early yet but I'm finding a lot of curiosity and support for Palin amoung Mormons. They could not be nicer or more open to her candidacy.

Why? Dunno. Reservations about Romney? Probably.

...with all the conservative angst over Palin supporting McCain I think Romney is pretty well positioned.

Sarah Palin would have to seriously flunk the conservative test at least a dozen more times for Romney to pull even with her approval numbers.

She will weather the McCain fiasco, but Mitt has no way to undo his abysmal public record. He's already flunked out of the conservative camp.
