Anyway , would you rather have Mitt , Huck or Pawlenty? Your choices are probally down to the four or you can sit out again and help that pig Obama get another term.
Forget about crossing your fingers for some fantasy of another canidate emerging from somewhere else to save the day. If you do not have a pac raising money now and are active by campaigning and collecting you I.O.U's , then you will be too far behind to mount a serious run later. Only four republicans are this far in the process.
Another point to think about , Palin probally did this as part of a larger strategy. To middle America , people who don't identify strictly to party or ideology but usually decide the election , seeing Palin and McCain together was a nice contrast to Obama and Pelosi and a lot of them voted for Obama have huge regrets and after seeing Palin and Mccain together , wished they had voted the other way. I am talking about Reagan democrats who voted for Perot and have been the swing vote that decides elections.
It’s only right that she help him, and if he loses Hayworth will be a good replacement. McCain has been fighting Obama ever since the election.
We’re pretty much dead in the water - I had some hope until yesterday but seeing the adverse reaction to Sarah Palin’s appearance kind of leaves me cold.
If she turned her back on him after he chose her as his running mate, it would reflect poorly on her, not him.

I watched her entire speech online, and apart from a less-than-mellow voice, everything she spoke was truth, and in truth, there is no adversity - at least for the honest.
We are not dead in the water. We are going to nominate the most conservative canidate we have , who is set on reversing Obamacare and reducing the size of government. The one who said today republicans need to stop holding hands with democrats which is all Bush did for 8 years.
Plus , if McCain makes it , i do not think he will be the same guy reaching across. He has seen the true face of the communist he has helped and i think he regrets what he’s done and probally feels stupid for it.

In 1980 , Bush sr was the stop Reagan canidate in the race with ford setting on the sideline ready to get in if Bush failed. They said Reagan was to stupid to be President , was just an actor who was a puppet for other people. They said Reagan could not win. They called him dangerous , ect.
This is all shades of what we hear about Palin today. Their real problem was that he didn’t go to Yale or Harvard and was from Maint Street. The republican party and media hated Reagan for the same reasons they hate Palin.

Not sure where you get that thought. The McCain/Palin in ‘08 should have been flipped. Too few wanted McCain - Sarah brought in the votes. VP for Sarah is out of the picture and should have been in ‘08. She’s presidential material!
