Dawud Walid, executive director of the Council on Islamic-American Relations of Michigan, on Sunday said that the FBI foiled a plot to attack and kill Muslim-Americans.
Walid was attending the group's 10th anniversary banquet in Dearborn, Michigan where the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson was keynote speaker.
Muslim leaders in Chicago are "following developments of the arrests with great interest and concern," says Ahmed Rehab, Executive Director of CAIR Chicago.
"If some of the initial reports are true. Then, these radical groups are a chilling indication that anti-Muslim hysteria in some circles may be developing into stages of organized terroristic activity," Rehab said Sunday night.
Late Sunday, on the Hutaree message board, an apparent member of the group wrote about how the FBI came into their home and that she and one child escaped. "The Federal Authorities have raided not only our group but also the Michigan Militia. They have hijacked their website and placed word there that they were not raided" wrote the woman named Anna.
The Michigan Militia indeed reported on Sunday that it's members had not been subjected to raids or arrest. It is unclear whether this is accurate.
The Hutaree message board author further reported: "We need some help please. This has to stop. I am enroute south with my children using the wifi's as I can. They were catching others as they came to their rallying points, they broke into homes and took children and used the tasers on wives, my son who is 12 and I got out by crawling through the creeks behind our house. My husband and others are taken, please call the press and tell them, if any in the Michigan Militia is still free please rally with them. Please help."

I was using sarcasm.
I was using sarcasm. I know they were Christian.
Speaking of Ahmed Rehab :
This wasnt the first time that Ahmed Rehab toyed with the subject of Jewish dominance. In his piece entitled, Double Standardism: The Case of the Two Books a rant against author of The Satanic Verses, Salman Rushdie Rehab openly complains about the American medias criticisms against books that question the validity of the Holocaust. In the article, Rehab attributes this to Jewish control over the media. He further writes, The Muslims protesting Satanic verses were given little credibility as they were seen as being biased for their religion. On the other hand the Jews and the Jewish subjects were not seen as such but rather as credible professionals He then points to an American journalists Jewishness as being the reason for his bias. Rehab writes, he is of course Jewish
In a follow-up article, Double Standardism: The Case of the Two Films, Rehab ridicules Hollywood for having what he considers to be a pro-Jewish slant. He states, the movies exploiting the Arabs and Muslims are a bold and uncompromising look behind the closed doors of a hidden world On the other hand, a movie which glorifies the other Semites, the Jews, is a great American classic, an untimely epic, a movie-making masterpiece, and an all-time family favorite, well whoop-di-di-doo. Rehab calls the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) a big mouth organization. He ends the piece by railing against Jewish filmmakers. He writes, the history of the Jewish film producers in particular have shown that they predate on weak minorities by default. -------- "Death of a Terror Lobby--Why is the hate-group that laid the foundation for CAIR gone?," by Joe Kaufman, FrontPageMagazine.com , February 3, 2006
I think there’s more evidence that McVeigh operated in support of islamist terror. His partner Terry Nichols had been to the Philipenes several times. There seems some evidence he had met with Ramzi Yousef and that McVeigh accompanied him at least once.
Please forgive my lack of single word and important word in the statement that you question:
Tell me how many MUSLIM women and children have been injured or killed at the hands of non-muslims in the US? ZERO!!!
As to McVeigh, there were more than a couple of interesting leads into that case that pointed to Saddam Hussein and his intelligence services, but I am willing to stipulate to your arguments.
Hmmmmmmm...The charges are sealed by a judge until arraignment of the suspects.
If you would like to be added or dropped from the Michigan ping list, please freepmail me.
The little info leaked so far, this stinks like week old trout.
So, when are they gonna “sweep” the terror training compounds on U.S. soil?
great point G. last I heard there were an estimated 30-35 terror training camps or compounds operating on US soil. anybody?
Don’t hold your breath.
“At least we know for sure whose side the Feds are on now.”
Was there ever any doubt?
Coming off the MSM’s story of the ‘dangerous Tea Party’ these raids take place and, of course, it’s crazy right wing Christians.
So far the charges are ‘gun charges.’ Unregistered firearms? That’s a major raid?
“Hmmmmmmm...The charges are sealed by a judge until arraignment of the suspects.”
They forgot to add, “...and until the approval of CAIR”.
Not only is it a major raid, but the whole operation involving Hammond, Indiana and the Ohio locations “has occupied hundreds of federal law enforcement agents this weekend.”
Until they’ve ginned up as much as they could find to make it look as bad as possible in front of the media cameras...
“At least we know for sure whose side the Feds are on now.”
At this point, was there much doubt? They’ve been on that side - the Saudi side - for years!
