Boise attracts a lot of libs. Ditto for Ketchum/Hailey/Sun Valley. Fortunately, the Ketchum/Hailey/Sun Valley bunch tend to just be attracted to vacation homes and not infesting the voting booths.

I had to spend 7 months (Jun 21, 2009 - Feb 6, 2010) working a contract in San Diego when all the other work I had collapsed with Obama's arrival in office. I ended up trading in my 2009 Suzuki DR650SE with 1300 miles on it for a 2009 Kawasaki Versys that was more suitable for the 70 mile daily commute. I lost about $2300 on that deal, but I didn't put 7,000 commuting miles on my 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid. The actual gas savings was about $35/month. The vehicle depreciation avoided compensated by about 3x...and it was a more enjoyable commute. Still, I'm happy to be home in Idaho.

The structural deficits created by the Rats in the legislature dwarf anything the Ballot Initiatives have ever done. Focusing on the BI spending simply means you pay more attention to measures you actually vote on rather than what the legislature votes on, i.e. the budget. No doubt this is part of the problem with Kalifornia voters, they expect their reps. to be responsible and do the right thing. LOL!
